Clearly a few are perfectly happy with the squad because they try hard and we've improved.

However,

What do you think are top 3 priority signings are this summer and who needs to make way for them?

For me:
Left Wing
Striker
CM
Replace - Partey, Martinelli and Kai.
Clear out players like Jorginho, Zin etc and replace with internal youth and young signings

What other changes would you be looking for?

More direct style of play getting the ball faster by passing forward, in front of players and attacking players that can run at defenders.
Bit more variation in attack - less down the right side and less sideways
Better squad and cover for key positions
Better player rotation and substitutions
Rice to be captain

Not wholesale changes but material tweaks to talent, drive and mentality.

If we invest and get our attacking play right - we could have our own parade ? ? ❤️ ?.

1x Striker = Gyokeres
1x Left Winger = Rodrygo / Leao
CAM (to compete with Ode) = Cherki / Simmons

Move Kai and and Martinelli to the bench. Get a backup GK (Joan Garcia) and if you’re selling Trossard, then get Mbeumo (20 PL goals this season) . Plus Zubi already in the door.

I think that’s more than a reasonable summer. Sell the likes of Zinny, Tomiyasu and Trossard.

I doubt we'll be getting 6-8 signings in one window. It's not viable financially and arguably destabilises the team. I want less change so that we are ready from the start.

The main ones for me are striker, left wing and defensive midfielder. Maybe one or two more depending on departures.

On the tactics side pretty much agree with SY. We need central progression especially. Zubimendi would be instrumental in achieving that.

I know you all think I’m Mr Negative but this is a poor excuse you’re making for the club. “‘Not viable financially” according to who? We made PROFIT last summer and spent £0 in January. We as fans all deserve whatever it takes this summer to ensure we are competing in all 4 competitions this summer. If that’s 5 signings, 6 signings, £200m, £300m, I don’t care.

3 signings can easily cost 200 million or more. 6+ would be closer to 400 million and at that point PSR probably makes things difficult. And like i said too many signings can be too destabilising.

Then we need to exit some players and replace eg Back up Keeper, Jorginho
That’s minimum change to starting 11 and bench.
Let the youngsters challenge for positions including Ode which means Rice has to be captain.

I’d be happy at that - shows intent and then we need to play with intent ?

Morning just reading reports.
