I am with SY on this. I'm afraid we have had a very average window.
And no one can argue we have become weaker offensively.
We have sold Martinelli and Trossard and replaced two players with one.
Tzolis, although looks a lively player, is unproven in the PL. Yes, he had a good game against Coventry but it's Coventry.
We freed up so much cash yesterday and got 3 players off the books and it seems without plan D.
Jegooner, you have replied to SY saying who else is there. Correct, small pickings I agree, so if that's the case then why sell Martinelli, makes zero sense.
We did just win the league. Yeah! Bravo! Well done us but we need a stronger offensive set up than we have now if we are going to retain it.
We move on from last year that's finished with. Yes, we have just picked up 3 points at Villa, a place where we got nothing last season, but no one can disagree, they are so much weaker than last season. But as we say, a win is a win so 6 points is a good start.
The test comes this weekend with a home fixture v Chelsea, who will challenge for the league I am sure.
Bemused about Big Vic, that all seems odd, unless Je is right and he is part of a deal. We will see.
Defensively we are strong. Midfield we are strong. It's going forward I want more.

Small pickings now but plenty LWs have been traded this summer. We've been slow & cheap.

The Barcola scenario is an odd one. He is evidently a class player, left-sided, exactly what we need, yet no interest. After Vini J was a non starter, he was the pick of available left-sided players. Now we have Tzolis and, barring any late activity, that's it. While two games is not a measure, he is not exactly an upgrade on either Martinelli or Trossard.
We ended last season needing a world class winger and striker, and we bought a defender, a midfielder, a goalie and a prospect. I think we have seriously miscalculated this window. I will be happy to be wrong by 11pm, however.
