Could any of the Eds or guys here tell me why we seem to have switched from Gyokeres to Sesko? I thought that the Gyokeres deal was all wrapped up .

{Ed001's Note - it was never all wrapped up and Sesko was always the preferred choice.}

Agree0 Disagree0

From what I've heard they're actively talking to both players. Sesko is the first choice but I believe we're playing it safe talking to gyokeres just in case it doesn't work out with sesko.

Anyone else prefer gyok?

I’d prefer Gyokeres because he’s more the finished article, has experience of the English game and could hit the ground running . Sesko has loads of potential, but is quite similar to Kai.
I’m sure the guys at the club know more than me though ?‍♂️.

I keep seeing these comparisons to kai and don't agree at all. He's a much better finisher and striker of the ball. Plus he is a demon in the air which is something gyokores lacks.

Personally I think it's easy to see the faults and short comings of the players we have and over estimate the attributes of the players we would like to see the club replace them with, until of course the replacement player starts playing for us and we begin to notice their short comings more than their attributes.

Jesus is a good example of this, most people were very excited by his arrival and choose to over look the reasons City were prepared to let him go, until he started to struggled in the very same arrears with Arsenal as he had at City.

I'm not saying we shouldn't look to upgrade we most definitely should try something different.

Haaland was an absolute goal machine at Dortmound and has simply carried on where he left off at Dortmound with City. Champagne Charlie was equally an absolute goal machine at Celtic but struggled to get anywhere close to his Celtic level at Arsenal.

All new singings are a gamble but gambling is a necessary part of improving and those managers and people who run clubs that gamble most wisely tend to stay in their job's the longest.
