We all wanted leaders in our squad and so far this window we have signed the captain of Anderlecht and the captain of Norway. 2 players who have obviously shown enough leadership qualities to be given the armband at 21 and 22. Kompany was a brilliant captain so to give that honour to Lokonga says to me that he's ready.
Hopefully when they're settled we will see this shine through in their performances because our squad needs it.

I thought lakonga looked good last week tired a bit but for a first game was impressed.

Lokonga has been excellent all preseason bud. His willingness to beat the press and play a forward pass is excellent to see.
