Jack wilshere has confirmed his exit from Arsenal and has been very clear that wanted to stay after taking the cut financially but only due to footballing reasons he is going to move elsewhere. Can't say he is the midfielder we thought he would become. He's one of those players who are Arsenal through and through and have been a part of Arsenal since 17 years. Jackie may not be the best CM around but he's got the best attitude, he's gone down many a million times but just played decent football with a smile on his face and his tongue sticking out. I will miss him terribly as a presence in the midfield and as a character in the club and I also wish him and his family the absolute best which even club he goes to.

I was thinking for something to say but that just about says it all.

Really IG, so you'd be proud if your son turned out like him. I don't think so.

Good luck to the lad. let's get a great replacement now.

So you're asking if I'd be proud of my son if he puts on the number 10 shirt for Arsenal, plays for the club I love - for 17 years? Hell I'll just be proud of him for choosing the right side of London! But in all seriousness- I may not be completely happy with the way he has developed, but really if you factor in the amount of times he has just got injured and has had to go under treatment and then recovery just to even walk, one may realise that life hasn't been completely fair to him. He may not be the best player as I said but JW has wore that badge like his skin and I'd be god damn proud of it NES.

{Ed001's Note - how has life not been fair to him? His injury problems are down to his lifestyle and lack of close control. He has risen far above his complete lack of any discernable ability to play for his country. The guy is one of the luckiest blokes of all time, to have pulled the wool over the eyes of people just by pretending to give a toss about the club.}

Good luck Jack - hope it works out well for you and your family.

I simply couldn't agree more with Ed001's comments.
Wilshere was the Emperors New Clothes. He has had a privileged life and has abused it. He isn't talentless, but his sole skill was running with a ball at his feet, which he then rarely distributed intelligently or to significant effect.
Good luck to him at Brentford or Millwall.

I’m not going to get into my opinions on jack as everybody knows what they are. But the facts speak for themselves and that jack was the tip of the iceberg in what historically has become a very cosy club. I echo what Indian gooner said from a fans perspective that we would all love a Stephen Gerard in our club but it wasn’t to be. Good luck to him.

Can’t believe steve boldgot kept on though.
