not arsenal related, but i saw a headline: "Pep Guardiola has made a personal phone call to Milan 'keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to try and lure the youngster to Man City this summer, according to reports in Italy. "
and i was wondering what constitutes tapping up?

{Ed002's Note - Making personal phone calls to players if you do not have permission to do so constitutes "tapping up" - but this is the Arsenal page and perhaps you should take it to the Manchester City page to discuss.}

thanks for your reply ed, sorry it wasnt arsenal related, i was just wondering as a general football question rather than about city and didn't want to take it to there page incase it riled them up! XD are there many consequences from it? you don't hear about it too often, is that because managers generally don't do it, or they're just not stupid enough to let anyone hear about it?

{Ed002's Note - This is not the place to discuss. It is an unsubstantiated accusation from a press that simply makes things up for the gullible English fans. If he did speak to him I am pretty sure it would have been nothing more than a misdialled number.}
