TOMIYASU ( correct spelling) could be exactly what we need, people saying he’s not a CB or a RB doesn’t concern me as apparently he’s capable in both positions and also in CM. Not sure if anyone remembers the season we had no LB, s due to injury and flamini stepped in and became one of the best LB, s in the league.
I used to love the days when we would find a practically unknown gem of a player and he would come good.
Also remember us signing a fairly unknown winger called Terry or something and AW decided he might be alright up front.

So another squad player when we really need to improve our starting 11 - brilliant!

We aren’t a crappy bottom half team - we should be able to sign a quality player who has a specialised position. We have AMN that can play all over the place.

What’s wrong with signing a bloody good RB then a good CM rather than a jack of all squad player. How can we improve if we don’t sign quality.

I get where SY is coming from, we are in a bad place and need proven talent to get us out of this mess, that or a new manager. On the other hand, we do need to give the signings a chance to prove their worth.

I’m not writing them off and I’m sure once we get a brute to play alongside White like every pro is saying he requires then we will be fine. My point is we haven’t signed the quality names we were linked with and for key positions the starting 11 who are rock bottom need.

I like the young CDM but will he improve us this season? Where are the leaders and why can’t we sign a proper right back, a proper partner for Partey rather than Granit and a quality creative player and goal threat.

We were screaming for a right back - per Ed, this is a CB who “can play” RB. Why shouldn’t I be frustrated as my standards are high.

What’s the point in White if we don’t have the right player (S) to partner him. Most pros are saying exactly that - he gets bullied. Why can’t we see this.

That bloke called Terry was well known at Monaco before he went to juventus then us…. odegaard didn’t really pull any trees up last season couldn’t even get in Madrid’s team and we go and pay £30m to have him back so it’s not about giving them a chance is it…
We’ve needed a quality right back for 2-3 years now so why not get a special-ist player for the position….

Two things SY mate
Partey was pretty good quality but so far not done anything to improve us
Plus we haven't challenged for over a decade and half so why would top quality names come to us mate, Money? Look how that's worked out for us far .

We have to accept where we are now and put aside who we were 20 years ago.

There is no point in us winding ourselves up about what we can't change or poor singings who haven't yet set foot on the Emirates pitch.

As a positive to where we are now, we won’t be able to offer the ridiculous wages we have in the past and then be unable to get rid of players. Today it’s been reported that agreements haven’t been able to be made with two players because of their demands, partly, I guess because of what they’re currently being paid. At least Willian can leave with honour.

Regardless of who we sign, the upper levels of the club need a major overhaul. Kroenke doesn't give a crap, Edu and his agent need to do one and don't get me started on Arteta.

I agree Sparky but none of that is going to happen anytime soon, Arteta maybe sacked after the Norwich game as a token of good will but the Kronkee's aren't going anywhere in the foreseeable future mate.
