Despite not taking part in the last 2 seasons Mesut Ozil still holds the record for the most champions league assists above Iniesta and everyone else.
Makes you realise just how we don't make the most of Mesuts abilities but prefer to concentrate on his weaknesses.
All time king of assists and we rarely use him and would prefer he was elsewhere, makes you wonder if perhaps we need to rethink and reevaluate our attitude towards Ozil.

As someone once said about Ozil and his assists, you can't pass the ball to Ronaldo and he takes 4 players on and scores and claim an assist.

That would explain it Welsh mate, makes you wonder why the whole Barcelona team aren't ahead of Mesut given they have Messi to pass too.
Mesut only played with Ronaldo at Real and the figures in lnclude his time in Germany and at Arsenal so it's back to Isle 15 in Asda to get more straws to clutch in your pursuit of Mesut put downs mate :-)

I think i'm right in saying that in his time at Real he actually assisted Benzema more than Ronaldo.
Plus if he has to take on 4 players i don't believe the assist would be given.
Mesut is still possibly one of our best players, hence the salary given. If he was deployed properly with the right protection we would throve unfortunately with a midfield containing a slow turn around in play we don’t see enough of Ozil. However i think he linked up really well with Ceballos on the turn in the first half of the game against Watford. Unfortunately Xhaka and Guendouzi don’t have as much speed in their play as Ceballos.
