Interesting perspective I heard from an American was that from an Arsenal POV, Kroenke winning the superbowl is also good for us as he gets a taste of success. Maybe he will be motivated to focus more on making us competitive in the league again.

A few years back people were using Stans lack of success in American Football as proof he had no sporting ambitions, 2 superbowls in 4 years puts that one to bed.
I think the money spent in recent years shows there is sporting ambition at Arsenal but just not a clue how to achieve it or how to go about trying to achieve it with dignity.

Great point G62, for me to push on they need swap Edu for someone with vaster experience and contacts.
On the side of results i think i counted 11 points that we should of really been up, had one or two things fell our way in those games City included. which would of seen us sat in 3rd on the same number of games played, and not far behind Liverpool. I know you can’t look at it that way. It seems for now that 3/ 4 place is very much in our hands, we just need to grab it and not let go!

Hi JG mate, i immediately think of Brighton and Palace games and how lucky we were in both games to get a point when I read about what might have been had luck been on our side in this that or the other game, we like everyone else are exactly where we deserve to be in the league, and that is actually a very good and positive thing in its own right, we don't actually need to pretend and invent imaginary what if scenarios any mone in order to feel happy and positive about the team, we really are the best placed side to finish 4th as things stand, it's not a 4th place trophy thing that only we can see, the whole world can see it too this time, it's real, it's real ???.
I'm actually delighted and pleasantly surprised to be where we are and I genuinely don't think we need try and inflate our progress, at this moment in time it really fantastic in its own right.
Should we POSSIBLY finish 4th with games to spare then have a look at 3rd is my attitude, but I'd snatch anyone's hand off who offered us 4th place guarantee right now and wouldn't care less who finished 3rd or how close or far away from them we finished ?????.

I am buzzing mate tbh, trying not too get carried away, but in all honesty i think unless we have a injury crisis, a 3rd place finish might not be so difficult.
All we need to do is keep putting points on the board whilst we can, as the games in hand will not be easy. Spuds A Chelsea A Liverpool H we can’t guarantee points there. Our fixtures are rather kind up until the march internationals.

I’m afraid might haves can be discussed all year, every side can say we should have an extra x points because of, we are where we are because we’ve been good sometimes bad on occasions and indifferent on others
The lack of goal scorers will potentially trip us up, the Summer transfer window will be interesting, not many clubs will be on the look out for 3 strikers.

We've got a really good chance of 4th place and a champions league return next season, as things stand Only the biggest pessimist would argue that's not improvement on our past 2 extremely miserable seasons, especially around time last year when we were reduced to debating the merits of playing in the Europa conference league or not, now that was a low point ???.
