Firstly I'd just like to say that I appreciate Ed002s insights immensely. I have been posting on this site for years and quite frankly it wouldn't be the same without him.
With that being said, I think sometimes the replies can often seem rude to posters who are genuinely asking fair and honest questions. If the poster is abusive, by all means they deserve it. Some of us though are just genuinely asking a question for an insight from someone who is reliable and we trust. Not being rude, just passing on my opinion on the matter.
One general bit of site feedback - the search function doesn't always give results or info can be hard to find. I've seen a lot of RTP replies and when searching myself, the info just isn't there.
Thank you all the Eds though, your work is appreciated by many regular posters ??.

{Ed002's Note - Marcos Leonardo (F) Still very little raw and needs to stop falling over so easily, but perhaps talented. Wants to move to the PL at some point. He will do well if he bides his time. Lazio were persuaded he was a good deal but have likely walked away after Santos increased the asking price - we will see if that changes. Santos have said that "many" clubs from Europe have sent scouts to watch him ancluding a very-high end scout/ex-PL player which hints at two of the clubs being Manchester United and Liverpool, to watch the player. Other sides may well include Arsenal as his agent tries hard to find a foothold in the Premier League. The description of "cumbersome" was used after his agent persuaded someone from Chelsea to take a look.}

I can see both sides of the argument to be fair.
Selling Partey now is the opportune time to get the highest possible fee for him. If there are clubs interesed then we would be silly not to consider it given his inconsistant form and injury issues.
With that being said he was hugely important for us last season and when he played well he was phenomenal.

Agree with the comments. Why get rid of him just for the cash. New signings take a while to settle in, so why put yourself under massive pressure that any replacements need to hit the ground running. Old Arsenal would replace like for like, new Arsenal, with CL games to play, need to do better, and for me, that means Partey stays, even if Rice and Latvia come. We need thee top players to cover those two key roles, and all will still get plenty of minutes.

Absolutely agree with all of those SirWenger, but unless we are confident of bringing 3 to cover the 1 out with 2 of them at least being as good as (ideally an upgrade) then it just doesn't make sense.

I love how the media work makes me laugh, I watched the game yesterday inter Milan’s attack didn’t even turn up, then when lukaku came on I thought it changed them, they were not attacking and he had shots good link up play at times better than the two who started, media headlines LUKAKU FLOPS don’t you just love the papers.

It’s back to my old favourite Economic theory of opportunity cost. Yes, we could blow the 100m on a top striker instead of Rice, but you then end up with that top striker playing in front of a midfield of Partey and Elneny, or an increasingly creaking Partey and Xhaka, for part of the season at least before one gets injured. Ideally it would be both Rice and Osihen, but I doubt our finances will stretch that far.

I hope you are right VM, I would be absolutely delighted if we signed both, what a statement that would be. However, I have also seen reports that claim according to our latest annual report, we still owe £150m in outstanding transfer fees excluding what we spent in the last 2 transfer windows. I certainly hope that’s not true as that would certainly put a damper on our transfer plans.
