Hey Ed, last summer you said Arsenal ist interested in Jonathan David but you don't think it will materialize. Has anything changed? Is Arsenal still interested in him or is he no longer an option? Thanks in advance.
{Ed002's Note - Jonathan David (S/AM) Lille, like many French clubs were hit hard by the loss of broadcast revenue and will need to sell some of their more valuable assets even though they do not want to. Jonathan David is valued by Lille at an unrealistic €60M. Real Madrid have previously declared an interest but their focus has turned away as they wanted to include a player in any deal. He has been recommended to Chelsea by an ex player but they have a preferred target they have already secured for the summer. The new Manchester United coach tried to take him to Ajax and could potentially look to taking him to Manchester United if they lose out on preferred targets, and he could be available in January. Barcelona interest has gone although Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool, West Ham, Inter and Arsenal are clubs cited having sent scouts to watch him, with Arsenal having done so on a number of occasions but none seems to have a declared interest right now, but I would not discount Arsenal and Newcastle.}

Hey Ed could you tell us which club/ s is/ are interested in Pépé?
{Ed002's Note - Nicolas Pepe (W) Was never going to working out. Arsenal will struggle to find a buyer and his value will be about a third of what the club paid so they could look to a loan with an option to buy deal with Crystal Palace looking for a RW. The players wants out and is being offered around. So there is no interest at this time.

Honestly, I feel for Pepe. He seems a professional, and has dealt with this circumstance as well as can be expected. It's not his fault we paid so much for his services.

No point letting him go for a song if there are no takers. We will probably be in some form of European competition next year, and need that squad. Would much rather give him a chance with us rather than ship him out for peanuts. He was never a 70m pound player, but he has shown he can score, which is worth its weight in gold in the premiership. The chances of him succeeding with us are low, but it would be brilliant if it happened, I would love to be proved wrong.

Ed, you stated Zaha may well need replacing at Palace. Any idea where his future may lie?
I mean a Pepe plus cash offer wouldn’t be a bad move (even as I’m reminded that it’s Edu I’m depending on to make that happen) .
I know Smith Rowe is thriving right now but I don’t see him as a wide player, his best work is done arriving late on the edge of the box. Zaha draws opposition out and beats defenders, for me he’s exactly what we lack in tight games. There’s zero risk involved signing him either in my opinion and it would make up for the whole Pepe thing and all parties might benefit.

Hey Ed, anything new on auba, leno, Elneny and Pepe? Any chance one of them leaving in the next couple of days? As you mentioned Arsenal have to sell until summer or they could face punishements so i'm curious if they are able to raise some funds through sales and not just terminate contracts or loan players without options/ Obligation clauses.
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal continue to exile Aubameyangadingdong for now; Leno was to be sold to raise funds but the club lost out on his replacement. Miffe d and wants out - a loan may yet be possible. for no Arsenal have to persist with Pepe; Elneny will be allowed to move on in January with Fenerbahce and Galatasary keen.
Arsenal cannot terminate contracts easily and all loans do is save some or all of the wages and bring in a small loan fee.}

I wouldn't mind him staying as I think he is a hard worker and seems pretty loyal which is a big plus for me.

Reissi has struggled to work his way into the team but he offers us something so different to the rest. Stretches play very intelligently and has a dangerous delivery. Can't see why we wouldn't try to keep him and use him off the bench this season - potentially working him into the squad over next season's cups and group stage of CL. He was always a threat during his loan in the Bundesliga and can play well in Europe. Keep him!

So our priority replacement for Pépé is Pedro Neto. I think this is going to be very difficult. he only extended his contract in march. I can well imagine that it will be too expensive if Wolves were to sell at all.

Hi Lemtin I think our current league position and excellent start to the season plus our already attracting two quality players from City who are both flying in our shirt already makes us that bit more attractive to potential singings than for a very long time.
When Ozil signed from Real was the last time I can remember Arsenal really looking seriously interested in competing again, I personally think we are looking like a hungry ambitious club who are in the business of pursuing top prizes again and hopefully players who share the same ambitions might once again be prepared to take a chance on us.

I would be happy if we could finally sell some player. AMN, Bellerin, Mari, Torreira, Leno, Nelson. Maybe Xhaka, Holding and Tavares to get some space for Saliba and new additions. But you hear very little about it. there's still time, but i don't hold out much hope for edu that he'll pull it off.
