This is probably rubbish, but I saw that the board have apparently allowed wenger to put a £32 million offer on el sharaaway. I don't see this happening but it would be incredible. The big problem is, ofcourse, this is almost half the budget, on top of the supposed £22mil for fellani which would leave wenger around £16mil to play around with until he sells some players.

There is more than 70m available to be spent. Around 100m to be more precise. El Sharaaway will not join us though I've been informed although Wenger rates him highly.

He's not with that sort of money.

I believe Wenger is doing his best to sell players before making any purchases so that he knows exactly how big the pot is. I get the feeling he wants to spend, just going from all sorts of things really, and judging by past bids for Reina £20m and Goetze £30m it will be a case of spending on the right player. If we shift B52, Djourou, Gervinho, and maybe one or two more e. g. Chamakh and Park, even Coquelin, we could see around £20-25m come in.
That changes our summer landscape. If we got Cesar for around £6m, a CB for up to £10m, then we have a small fortune to spend on a DM, a striker and a wing midfield.
Just for example,
£95m pot after sales
Cesar £6m
Fellaini £24m
El Sh £32m
Higuain £30m
£92m spent.
I am sure the club would make a few more millions available to him if he needed it.
That said, he may opt for Iker Muniain who nobody seems to be talking about.

*disclaimer* I have no inside sources at the club and won't claim to the contrary.
However I did hear a rumour from a chap who generally seems to know his stuff. He works in finance and has advised clubs in the past in a variety of matters.
Anyway he claims that Arsenal have offered the £30m buyout fee for Isco, £9m for Bony and £12m for Jagielka (hence Everton interest in Williams). He is also convinced that Cesar will join as well as a few more youths.
No idea if this is true or even how he'd have found this out but I thought I'd pass it on for what it's worth. The Bony link interested me particularly. Anyone (eds?) heard similar? {Ed027's Note - Interest in the past, I say interest, scouted to see what he is all about

Bony is s****! I would say watch him play but the season is over and although it's not good to judge somebody on youtube with this guy he is bad enough you can tell from the videos. Please watch him on youtube and see for yourselves.
Pros
Scored many goals for his club
Strong
Powerful player
Powerful shot
Aerial dominance
Cons
He has awful technique striking a ball which leads me to believe he scores because of poor goal keeping and fearful defending rather than him being an outstanding finisher
No skill at all
No pace
Can't dribble for s****!
No link up play
Poor finisher, 'more of a swing your foot at it guy and hope fort the best than top corner curler'
No experience in Prem
No experience in CL
Lastly flipping 9m for that instead we should go and buy Ricky Lambert if we are throwing 9m away at least he has skill, good technique and can finisher not to mention his great link up play and prem experience.

12m for Jagielka at 31? This doesn't sound Wengerish.

I know mate. I don't claim any of this is true or if it will happen. Personally I don't believe any of them. Especially Isco! Just passing on what I heard.
Also I agree on Bony I'd be disappointed if he was our striker signing!

You're a joke. Wilfried Bony is thousand times the player good ol' Lambert is.
Agree0

Isco will be let go for much less than that with the financial situation of malaga.
and of all people; sir stinge-alot, arsene wenger will not just throw money at a club when there is a bargain to be made

No skill at all=hes a pro must have some skill. better than you a would guess? No pace. I challenge you to race him? Can't dribble for s****!again he must have some sort of dribbling skills if he makes it as a footballer. No link up play?not seen enouhh to judge him on that. Poor finisher, 'more of a swing your foot at it guy and hope for the best than top corner curler?sorry goals win games no matter how they get there. No experience in Prem No experience in CL? Either have you so why would we listen to your judgement?

The premier league is far superior to the Dutch league. Wilfred is crap full stop. That guy up there has stated some facts about this slow. Watch Bony before you comment Wenger sent scouts because of his gs record and never went further once they say him play. We will sign 2 marquee signings this summer I guarantee this one striker 20m+ one DM 20m+ the rest all small buys.
Agree0

First of all who ever wrote this rumour I respect you don't claim to be ITK or anything I respect what your saying. I highly doubt Bony would ever join Arsenal personally though just due to the fact Higuain's Father has said we are in talks and we've gone in for better players at a higher standard.
As for the comment questioning my every point this is for you. I'll explain myself so you can see where I'm coming from :
No skills - Some players have tricks and are flair players, he is not one he is not the kind of player to beat a man with skill he uses his strength.
Dribbling - He is not a dribbler, he is a target man he can kick a ball but in terms of dribbling past a good defender you won't ever see him turn defenders in and out with his dribbling.
His finishing, yes obviously goals win you games but also if someone shows poor technique in a lesser league to the point where the standard looks like the main factor for his goal record rather than his ability how would he be expected to score against D'Gea, Reina, Mignolet, Begovic, Vorm etc.
I don't have to have played in the Barclays Premier League to make a point in saying he has not got Prem experience and would take time to settle and adjust to the premier league pace that's a given and you can't critique a comment on that.
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm saying break it down to attributes and Lambert wins, add he has played in the Prem and done well in his first season and again you have to respect him on that.
IMO Lambert is a better all around footballer if you want to judge them solely on goals guess you could pick someone from any lower league and say they are better.

I guess nobody should listen to anybody because we all have no Premier League experience then yeah?

I don't want Isco let the Ox shine next season we need Felliani and Rooney
Agree0

Lool skill? haha I'm a professional for Wycome Wanderers Under 21 and I just turned 18 I have more skill than him he's crap.
I've seen goalkeepers with more tricks and better dribbling skill than him in our old academy. I have a friend who used to play for Crystal Palace u16's and u18's when he was 14 he trained alongside Wilfred Zaha a couple times. He had amazing skill crazy juggling skills and fast feet. He was actually like a younger version of Isco and he only got released because he started getting into trouble with the police and got arrested and you can't play pro football when your in juvee can you.

I would love to race him even with my fractured foot and broken toe, it would be a good one!
Agree0

Don't go assuming because someone is a professional footballer they now are the fastest people in the world, that's just ignorant or that a Brazilian or any other flak type footballer maybe not professional doesn't have more skills than a professional if you have played professional football in your life you would know this.
Leaving note: Jagielka would be good as he is English obviously and it would help towards homegrown players rule. Can't see an England International joining our bench as 3rd or 4th choice though personally but that's no attack on you mhc.

Bottom line Bony isn't good enough for Arsenal as far as judging him on his ability I suggest all you commenting on him watch videos of his good and bad moments and be sure to watch him next season.
@ hmv I respect your honesty.
Some of you on here must never have played football to a reputable standard because you would know just because your a professional footballer doesn't automatically make you a skilful footballer there are freestylers with more skill than some professionals. Efficiency is more valuable than flair in football.

Arsenal to make two 20m+ signings this summer.
Fellani
Higuain are the prioritized targets with
- Both these primary targets represent a youthful squad with proven experience at top level for a good price.
- Wages would be below 200k mark, 150 tops!
Lars Bender, though he has a reported 12m release clause.
Rooney is our secondary target due to age and wage bill, plus the very unrealistic chance of Manchester United selling him to us but not through our lack of interest at all as we have serious interest if when Ancelotti is appointed we cannot sign Higuain.
Cesar has a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal as does David Villa.
David Villa will not join Arsenal though.

Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad with 3 very talented players.
Rumours going around about these 3:
Douglas Costa de Souza, from FC Shakhtar Donetsk. 12 mill.
Antoine Griezmann, from Real Sociedad. 18-20 mill.
Kurt Zouma, from Saint-tienne. 12 mill.
Griezmann will be a massive star for us in the years to come, the other two I dont know to much about except that they are very talented.
I believe that this will be 42-44 mill very well spent.
Also believe some various squadplayers to come, so our total spending will be at a total of 50 mill.

From what I have heard I too would be pretty pleased with these signings - certainly happy to give them a chance. Douglas Costa is apparently a VERY talented player and worthy of most top clubs. He's no Ozil/Modric but he's a very good player. Griezmann I've not watched (on purpose) but I have heard other people talking about him and only in a positive way.
Still think we need a top striker though.

Metal Gooner, thanks for reply.
Griezmann is a fast, technical left-winger, just what we need.
Zouma will become a beast of a CB. almost as fast as Koscielny. big talent.
When it comes to strikers, I think that all of our current strikers will score more next season, but I agree with you. it is time for a top-striker signing. Just don't know who it will be. It looks like all the big money-clubs are looking at strikers too.

These players seem more so like Wenger signings than all the other names that have been thrown around, Fellani and Rooney etc.

Odds have been brought in on all the major betting sights for Arsenal signing Rooney. Still can't see it but would be happy with it as a statement of intent! I would prefer Higuan though.

The 3 signings that are likely are cesar, williams and fellaini. Higuain and Jovetic are nowhere close.
Personally, I'd hope for a better attacker than those 2 anyway.
Believable24
Unbelievable57
Jovetic will end up Chelsea if he come BPL Higuain will be perfect for us as all he is concerned about is scoring goals. He is a class player keeping Tevez and Aguero out of Argetina's squad.

Am I the only one happy with our front 3? Giroud would've been our hero vs so many teams if he just made that "One Chance" go in. This season I think he'll do it! Strengthen the midfield so we can keep the pressure on instead of giving them time to lob it over (spurs game comes to mind).

Higuain is a brilliant player and would be perfect for Arsenal. His arrival could have the same impact as the one and only Dennis Bergkamp. if it were to happen of course!

Cesar and fellaini are a must williams no.
the other are possibilities as everyone and his dog at Arsenal have told us in the last couple of weeks that 'we can compete' in the transfer market
Agree1

Cesar is seriously overratted. Shezza is as good and will be better in the future unless we drop him and he leave that is.
If we get Cesar I will enjoy seeing you all back track and dissing him after you get to see that he is not what you think he is.
Agree1
Disagree0
How can you hope for a better attacker than higuain? he's a class player. Maybe jovetic isn't up there now but for £25M there are few better strikers imo. not that wenger will spend that much anyway
Agree0
Disagree0
Hold on a minute while I ring Superman and see if he fancies a crack, being as Higuain, the most clinical striker in europe in all comps behind only Messi and Falcao, isn't quite up to your standards!
Agree1
Disagree0
We only need williams if vermaelen is off and since this summer we aren't a selling club we are holding all the cards here.
addressing the keeper, defensive midfielder and striking areas is the least of what the club should be doing.
but getting in cesar/fellani/higuain would be more than fantastic and its achievable, all 3 will serve their functions for what we already have at the club
