I was just wondering ed, if sterling where to become available and it's looking more like that he is, do you think arsenal would try and sign him?
{Ed002's Note - I cannot sensibly answer what the club might "try" to do "if" he becomes available. Personally, I doubt he will be moving to Arsenal this summer.}

I was wondering if you could update us on the situation with wilshere and Walcott? Would the club be willing to let them go for the right price or are they still seen as the future? Cheers
{Ed002's Note - I would not be surprised to see one or both leave.}
1.) 27 Mar 2015 10:51:32
I'd be shocked to see them go considering they are keeping up the "home grown" numbers and Cazorla looks to be on his way to Atletico.
2.) 27 Mar 2015 09:36:48
i can understand that Arsenal would entertain any offers, but have any teams shown any interest, could you possibly say who has shown interest?
{Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - My understanding from someone who works for the club is that Arsenal are aware that Manchester City might be interested in Wilshere but no there has been no discussion with the club. Arsenal have replacements in mind in Fekir and My understanding from someone who works for the club is that Arsenal are aware that Manchester City might be interested in Wilshere but no there has been no discussion with the club. Arsenal have replacements in mind - with I suspect Fekir being first choice, Kovacic and Calhanoglu. As for Walcott, Arsenal have not been approached but are of the opinion that Liverpool will look to the player if they lose Sterling. Arsenal again have a replacement in mind in Pedro - I suspect that interest in Bernard will have gone and Reus will not be viable.}

loosing 2 home grown players not a wise move in my eyes
4.) 27 Mar 2015 20:22:04
I would be absolutely amazed if either were allowed to leave in the summer.

Hi ed was wondering if you could tell us the situation on Paulo Dybala? Rumours were after him which I don't believe.
{Ed002's Note - Palermo are looking to have Dybala sign a new contract but have made it clear that they will sell for €50M - a fee which will put off most clubs. Dortmund and Arsenal have a declared interest but I suspect the fee would put them off. Any move to Arsenal seems unlikely at this time.}

Ed I wa wondering wether you could shed any light on this ozil bid in the summer from Bayern? Have you heard anything to suggest he's unhappy etc? I know he's injured but his body language seems a lot like Torres. I honestly can't see him in an arsenal shirt in 3 years
{Ed002's Note - Right now I know of no such proposals at all. Rummenigge was in London this week and did, when asked, agree that Bayern Munich would be looking to bring down the age of the squad next summer - but that was it as far as I know.}

Are we in for a DM in January do you know ed002? I'm laughing as I write this just because wenger had all summer to get one and failed. So the probability of one in January is about 1%, would love to be wrong tho!
{Ed002's Note - I think it will still be tough to get Carvalho in Jainuary.}
1.) Absolutely, Flamini is awful and Arteta not much better. I would consider playing Coquelin or even Hayden.
In January, I would try & sign two DM players to replace both Arteta & Flamini, neitgre of whom would get into any other top four side. The realistic targets could be Khadeira and Carvalho.
2.) Personally the January window can't close quick enough for me, nothing ever happens but false rumours and talk of what should happen but never does.
If DM was going to be sorted it would have been done in the summer, next summer it might happen but depends on how Diarby does in his 3 games he plays this season.
If he plays well Arsene will see no sense in buying a DM but will wait for Diarby to get fit one day

Think we all need to relax and give the eds a break for persistent questioning. The window is still open for 5 weeks, If we are to sign a 'world class' player it wouldn't be until the last week anyway, We've signed cech. Got real quality depth for the first time in however long, However serious issue is if coq gets injured, We are fighting for the top 4. Our title run literally depends on 2 legs! Can't see wenger not adressing the issue of a decent back up now with arteta clearly given a new contract for the dressing room and impact on younger players.

I have a funny feeling vidal will be coming with Joel Campbell going the other way plus 20 odd mil
{Ed002's Note - No, that won't be happening.}
1.) 27 Jun 2015 15:00:02
I think if anyone is going the other way Theo is most likely, Ed?
{Ed002's Note - You have moved in to the realms of fantasy.}
2.) 27 Jun 2015 15:12:43
Fair comment Ed he was the only player I could think of that might be of interest to them who we'd actually considered letting go of, but obviously not.
You were 100% spot on with Petr Cech so what you say is good enough for me mate.
3.) 27 Jun 2015 16:15:26
I don't think juventus are interested in any of our players. Joel campbell is definitely not at the level to play for juventus.
{Ed025's Note - or hatlepool to be honest.. :)

Can one of the eds or someone tell me how good this bielek kid is. Is he one of those needs 3 years to breakthrough or a cesc type where he's good enough now to come straight in? Cheers
{Ed002's Note - He is a child with a decent reputation. He scores a 47 on the Ed002 goodness scale - that equates to "Potential Future Niftiness" on the scale used by ex-Peruvian international Hugo Sotil.}
1.) "Child with decent reputation"
Very well put sir
2.) A rather large child to be precise, and if eds scale ends at 50 I'll be happy
{Ed002's Note - It runs from 37 to 54.}
3.) 16 Jan 2015 16:56:53
Hi Ed02, I know it's difficult to look back and make judgements but to give us some perspective where would you think Cesc and Jack would have been on that scale at the same age
{Ed002's Note - 48 "Twinkle Toes" and 45 (Tenderfoot) respectively.

Just seen Wellington silva has been granted a visa and can play for us next season. Dubbed the new neymar. Can anyone shed any insight on how good this lad can or can be?
1.) The new neymar lol there nearly the same age. he's not great from what iv seen. Will end up low la liga team I guess on perm deal
2.) I saw him on the week of his trial when my lad and I were invited to London Colney. He ripped a Norwich U18 side apart. Scored 4 and made another 3 as I recall. Looked awesome then but has had issues of a behavioural nature wherever he has been on loan I understand. However, many lads can be like that and then suddenly mature. Let's hope so eh?
3.) I think we will sell him like vela. Gnarby is streets ahead of wellington silva and a lot younger.

It's offical. I'm in meltdown mode, I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Positives I've no had any sucidial thoughts. yet, I give up. DM and Striker needed addressing this time last year. Yet here we are. Year later and done seem close to either! It's like ozil and Sanchez were signed just to shut us fans up. There's 70m in the bank and yet wenger dithers over the slightest thing. I only but top quality if it becomes available. Well mr wenger, falcao became available, what did you do? Oh your usual. Too much money. I can't cope. Someone throw me the Valium.

If we don't sign a DM to replace arteta then all the work we've done this summer will be undone. Arteta played well today but he's painfully slow and will be exposed time and time again like last season.
This isn't football manager with editor on
Anything else being overshadowed about Ed that we wouldn't know about? Still hoping for a DM
{Ed001's Note - it still looks like being Schneiderlin, as he is likely to push a move through now.}
As much as I like your thinking, that is not the 2nd clause, the 50% sell on is after the set amount we can buy him back for which I believe is 25m, so if Chelsea make an offer off 33m we will get 50% which will mean we get 4m, make sense? Barca won't be that bothered about a couple of million
There is absolutely no reports on either, neither have been mentioned all day either on ssn. I call rubbish, we're did u get this from?
Valley-gooner's banter replies
He's said his preferred position is coming in from the left onto his right foot dags.
Have faith dags. Good things come to those who wait. People lose patience with wenger I can understand but were nearly there. A couple more additions and wele be feared again. One I believe is coming in the next 3 days. Then by end of next summer the squad will be complete.
We all hate Jose, but come on get with it for god sake! U lot are going into meltdown. If we wanted remy he would be an arsenal player. We were never in for him from the start trust me. Wait until Tuesday at 00.01 and ule be happy.
I hope your trolling. These things take time and the window is open until Monday night jheeeez, calm down. It will all turn out good trust me!
Ozil has had more off days than them all put together!
