Strong rumours re:Juan Quintero to Arsenal. Another attacking midfielder. Is someone on their way out? Or is he another one to be converted?
1.) Agent has already denied it. Seems like BS to me.
2.) Don't get too excited about this latest rumour.
Porto and agent now say he will only leave if full release clause, £32 million is met.
In addition there seems to be some third party ownership involved which Wenger has never been keen on.
3.) Wouldn't surprise me if it were BS tbf. It had a whiff of Bernard about it. He'll end up at Shaktar!
4.) He only joined Porto last year and we know how strict they are when it comes to buy out clauses which is at 40 million euros. I doubt he is coming this year. Possibly in the future.
5.) He has been strongly linked, however signing him or even Douglas Costa would open the door for Cazorla to go to Atletico.

We know Wenger is in the market for a CB and we're linked to Mustafi and Engels. However, listening to Arsene, he keeps mentioning the word 'experienced' Neither of these two fit the bill for me. I have a sneaky feeling we're going to go for Ashley Williams.

Apparently the new target is Jonny Evans for £15m.
If this turns out to be true, you can all find me sobbing into my pillow the morning it's announced.
Let's not forget, Mustafi is experienced, he's a World Cup winner, played in 3 leagues, over 100 caps for Valencia, he'd still fit the bill in my opinion.

The advantages of Evans are that he will cost less than Mustafi, he will command less wages and he is used to the PL. Is he truly inferior to Mustafi?

Here's my theory. AW was stung by Mourinho last summer over the transfer of Ba. This led to him having to recall Bendtner, who was almost out of the door. Could AW be getting sweet, sweet revenge? Remy is a big Arsenal fan. We could also offer them Sanogo, or possibly Akpom on loan, so they wouldn't be left short. Chelsea would be left short due to loaning Torres. Is Wenger getting his own back on Maureen?

So, what's up with Joel Campbell? From what I've seen of him preseason, he's looked lively. He's quick, direct and puts defenders on the back foot. Tonight's game was crying out for a change of tactic, yet AW left him warming the bench. Does he not trust him? Is he going to sell him after all?

Debuchy is done. Remy has gone to Liverpool. Griezmann has gone to Athletico Madrid. I doubt Benzema will leave Real. Paul Pogba is currently in NYC, where Mr Wenger just so happens to be as well. Are the stars aligning?

When pressed on signings whilst in Brazil, Wenger said he'd be signing players from the French national team. Debuchy looks to be one of them. I have heard Wenger waxing lyrical about Pogba. Anyone think there's a chance of Wenger signing him?

Isn't Mustafi injured? It makes llittle sense to sign a much needed CB who can't play immediately. Perhaps this explains the holdup?

Giroud has his qualities. He's a tall guy, so makes a good target man. He holds the ball up well, and brings others into play. However, he's not going to be the guy who will win us games. If a match is stalemate, and needs someone to pop up with a goal, Giroud is not the one.
It is a shame but this latest setback is surely the last straw. We all know how much AW rates Diaby but now is the time to be ruthless. Sack him off Wenger.
