New manager will have an opportunity to get his players if we are going to spend in the summer.

Twist - not experienced enough, poor man management and decision making. The squad is better than Mikel’s getting from them I don’t want to go through a squad rebuild to then replace Arteta in a year only for us to make excuses for the next person and require a 5 year rebuild again to compete. He’s not shown enough in my opinion to bet the house on.

I personally would make a change this summer if a proven manager became available to us, but if Mikel makes EL qualification at the very last minute it then it would at least be harsh on him rather than an easy decision to make.

Certainly not a Thatcher supporter I'm very proud to say.

If a good proven manager became available I'd have absolutely no problem at all letting Mikel go without a moments hesitation, and I really hope that happens.

All I'm saying is if that did happen and Mikel got last gasp 7th place at part of me would have some sympathy for him that I wouldn't have had a few weeks back.

I am still convinced if he is our manager next season we will continue to struggle and it will end badly for him and us but still we have had a good run in so it would feel harsh when he kept his job through worse times.

He's shown that he is improving, but I'm not sure whether it's fast enough. Still, I prefer to support our players and manager regardless.

Don't think the board will bother changing the manager as they have no ambition and if we sneak in to the Europa league that means they will have the extra cash anyway.
I would personally want a change, if we can convince Allegri, it will be a coup or we should get Benitez. The squad is good enough and couple of new additions will atleast gives us a chance to challenge for top 4.

Fan, that’s probably very close to the truth.

I read an Abramovich article and I’m not say change managers every week or that I like how they abused his fortunes to buy success but I do like his ambition and vision for his club.

2nd best team in the league terms of results since Christmas. You could argue we've made great progress haha.

We have to stick with Arteta next season. This summer is the biggest summer in such a long time and changing to a new manager now wouldn't help the situation to be honest.

If targets such as Bissouma, Buendia come to fruition whilst moving on that huge pack of players, we'll be in the best shape going in to a season that we've been in for a long time. The season isn't finished and we've already started having these conversations with players.

The good thing about the signings being reported as well is that they don't really require much transition or adaptation to the league. They know it, they've performed well in it and with better players, they should excel even more.

I am certainl no longer impressed by Arteta. But if there had been a Man U Rumours site back in 1989 then it would have been full of postets even keener than those here wanting to replace the manager.

The same thought has passed my mind to Melbourne mate, but between Fergie turning the fabs around against all odds and today there's been hundreds and hundreds that haven't.
An Fa cup win was huge back then and saved Fergie from the certain sacking, it didn't work out that way for Lvg after his fa cup win.
The game has changed mate and few managers get 4 or 5 years to make a difference now days.
