Morning all Ed's and fellow gunners, hope alls well. now the dust settles from last night. just wanted to say. it was a worldy of a goal. ( champions league, you just can't switch of for one second) . but porto are a typical Portuguese team / real anti football. but it works for them. watching the game last night especially the first half reminded me of the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, porto played such a high line/ like villa do. and the ball over the top was on time and time again on a few occasions our players made a run. Whoever was on the ball wasn't switched on enough to ping one over. I know we like to try score the ultimate goal. but for me personally the ball over the top and one of our boys running on to it and bending around the keeper is just as ultimate as the 20 pass link up goal. so now we know what we have to do and what expect in the return leg. porto sitting in and trying to hit us on the break. protecting thier precious 1-0 lead. hope we have a stronger ref for the return leg, as last night's ref was very weak. (loved the sound of his own whistle) , & bought all the porto theatrics, hook line and sinker. thought we had a clear shout for a pen second half when their lad went down and handled the ball under little pressure from odegaard. But we are still in with a shout. in 2 weeks time early goal required get the crowed bouncing. it's going to be tough but we can do it. COME ON YOU GUNNERS. ?⚪️ ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️. P. s loved Declan's post match interview. we've had a great start to 2024 and we won't let our heads drop at all.

There were theatrics at the corners Gabi, they knew the our threat from them.

Yeah tough to take a last minute goal like that. Have to give Porto credit they had a game plan to make it a scrappy and disruptive game and it worked with ref helping in that matter.

Think there were more fouls recorded than tackles made at one point which tells of a poor ref falling for their antics. We have to rise above it though and find the answers as it will be more of the same from them as they know we will out football them if they went toe to toe with us.

Need to speed up our play and vary the short and long balls more in behind a bit more. I am confident we can turn it around though with the fans behind the team.
