Hats off to Southampton they had us made straight from the kick off. We did have a couple chances which we should have done better with, but Southampton were on the money from the off. Pepe and Nketiah would never put a Arsenal shirt on again if I had my way and has for Willan, we got another big earner, contributing zilch Ozil type situation. As for Mikel, you got it wrong selection wise, tactically and your mental attitude towards the cup tie. we were the holders, should have gone down fighting.
Last word to Southampton, hats off to you, you didn't panic when the results weren't coming like the 8nil tonking at home by Leicester you kept the faith with Ralf

Without ESR = absolutely no movement off the ball. Why don’t other players learn this? Pass and move, run into space, it’s not that difficult, but it appears to be the opposite for so many of our players. Also once again we struggle against a team who played a well organised press, and yet we don't do the same. Why doesn’t our manager learn? Walcotts chance yesterday came from a combination of suicidal football, in that we held a high defensive line but didn’t press. Surely it’s one or the other, but at least with a younger team we should have the fitness to press.
