Saw that Newcastle have turned down a £110m move for Isak. So they would need to offer, what, 130-140? Is he really twice as good as Gyökeres? Doubt it. It's silly money either way, and maybe a reminder that just "going and buying" players in the real world isn't like FIFA.

I think he's probably the best striker in the league, although there's not a lot of competition. The money is absurd, especially for a player that has to be wrapped in cotton wool.

I don’t know - is he 2.5 times better tan Noni?

He’s a proven game changer and scorer in the epl - not sure about his injury history etc but you can’t doubt he can change a game on his own, play at epl pace and score goals.

If we are honest there are still question marks about transition to epl. Boy can score goals but it’s an easier league. Is he a game changer or finisher? Isak is both.

I’d have forgone both to get Isak. If you’d asked everyone beforehand you’d get a different answer to now because they are our players now.

I’m happy with Gyökeres - would have been delighted with Isak. But if we get a star player and Gyökeres then I’m delighted. But we need a star game changer and proper LW in my stubborn opinion.

I wanted gyko over any striker including isak he’s injury prone plays 5games and out for 10, if we had bought him just imagine the posts from certain members if he got injured arteta would have the blame as he always does, I’d like eze but he’s not a left winger he’s a ten, so if we get him we have to buy a lw as trossars amd martinlli aren't good enough.

That was my main concern DG - glad we got the striker you wanted over everyone out there. Don’t need another injury prone striker for sure.

Still want a special player and or a winger. We will need that to win the league. Hopefully Ode steps up

Guess you are referring to me? I understand why but I don’t really criticise the Boss for acting like the boss of a big club who wants to win. I criticised that he doesn’t want to lose and won’t take a gamble. You got me wrong. Don’t sit back and defend for 70 mins if two up. Go for the neck attitude. That’s my issue with him& he’s done well but bottled it. I wouldn’t criticise him for trying to win with style, showing dark arts, mixing it up and playing the ball forward with style. Nope- I’d happily come second with thst attitude. The lack of balls attitude coming second and not signing the players we needed at the time to get the job done, signing the like of Kai, selling big goal s orders with attitude but not replacing gets my goat. Our “he’s improved us “ and “team tries “ and “don’t hide behind the sofa” bollxx just feeds into this attitude that I can’t stand. Accepting every signing is good - load of crap. I have an attitude that most don’t like and accept status quo. I tip my hat to the improvements he’s made but every journey needs a destination and every good player wants cups. So I wouldn’t criticised him for showing some balls / intent. I’d like him to say we were poor and need to step up. That’s why I moan not JUST because it’s Arteta or NEVER happy. That’s 100% wrong.
