If we sign zubi, kepa, gyok, eze, nordgaard, madu (no, I can't spell any of their names yet) in one window and you're still not happy, are your expectations at all realistic?

It's hardly Kim kallstrom and sterling on loan is it! Hell of intent this summer from the Arsenal.

SW, I know you think everything the club does is perfect but when we were discussing Nico, Rodrygo and Leão but end up with Madueke… that’s ambition? The keeper isn’t ambition - it’s opportunist. Nord isn’t ambitious it’s like 4 like and Gyk isn’t Henry or Anelka.

Signing : Anelka, Vierra, Dennis, Pires, Henry was ambition. But keep flying the Arteta flag blindly. Gyk comes from a poor league and we are still pxxxxxxx around embarassing ourselves not buying a striker while we sign Madueke. No it’s not a statement. Rodrygo would be a statement. A huge striker of elite quality would be a statement. Most of the names you say are for the bench.

So no - I will have the bxxxs to say it’s not. We haven’t got Eze.

Making Rice captain, signing a proper striker or two plus Rod. That’s statement.

Come on sy mate, adding zubimendi, eze and gyorekes plus noni which i'm not a big fan of, is not a statement the i don't know what's your expectations are mate. I think if we end up with eze and gyokeres then its a very successful sumer transfer business was done.

Eze would be good but where is that Stella signing? That big game changer and top striker. The boy hasn’t signed and has question marks. No LW yet.

Let’s get a marquee attacker please for gods sake and a top top winger. We’ve improved the bench at present with exception of midfield. Let’s see

What about a change in captain also.

Who is this huge striker of elite quality that noone is ever able to name? What is so special about rodrygo? A poor Madrid don't seem fussed at all.
Personally I rate zubi, gyok and eze pretty highly. I'm allowed to enjoy the Arsenal, even if you dont.

What strikers are available that you think the club should by then? Genuine question. Zubimendi is the definition of a marquee signing, by the way - highly rated across Europe (arguably almost on par with Rodri in how he's perceived in Spain) and we beat 2 (at least) of the best clubs in the world to his signature.

If you're of the opinion that only the likes of Mbappe are good enough, I think you're in for a miserable life as a fan.

When were we chasing a RW? Just like when we purchased Kai! Not a problem we have but spank an excessive amount of money when we need a LW and Striker.

Use that money and wage to go up the ladder in quality.

Thuram, Alvarez, Guirassy, Osimhen, Isak, Watkins as reserve striker . — sell Kai, Jesus, Martinelii, Trossard and use that plus the 70m budget and 50 odd million on Madueke to get Isak. Put a 150m offer on the table. Test the clubs with these players…could we get Isak for 150m? Why spend 50 odd mill on a position we don’t need to add to.

Left wing - Barcola, Adeyemi, Leão, Lookman or Rodrygo

I’m happy with Eze - but get it done please.

Gyk is a risk and why are we buying a 65m striker - a key role yet spending 55m on Madueke that we don’t need. It’s Kai all over again. Why not test Newcastle.

Actually solve the issues with have with quality.

Isn’t Nwaneri good enough to cover for Saka and he wants game time…

Who has more intent in this window to date - us or Liverpool or City? That’s who we compete with.

Like I say - how many deals done so far will start and improve starting 11 and how many add real quality not question marks about solving issues to help us WIN the league. How many just are squad players. We need to demote some of the starters / bench to squad player and upgrade if we are to win the league.

SW - I do enjoy the Arsenal but I want to win. I don’t need to pretend ? you will defend Arteta blindly and justify the signings by comparing it to a time when we had no money and selling our players. Why not compare it to our best ever window and see how it compares because that’s what it will take to win the league. Not comparing it to when we signed Silvestra or the likes. Compare it to Liverpool who slaughtered us in the league last year. Or Citywho we narrowly beat and they had their worst season - how’s their window?

Why don’t you want us to act like a big club who know what they need and gets it done. Sell, buy less but buy better.

To confirm - I do enjoy Arsenal but we either need to start pxxxing or get off the pot.

Sorry SW if I was a little blunt - I just want us to up our game at buying and selling players. We have a big point gap to close and City will be better. If we don’t sign top top quality and they are out there then we get what we deserve.

That’s our yardstick and adding super quality to close the big gap and win the league. We have to sim big if we want to win. One signing doesn’t cut it.

So - we almost didn’t get Vierra as he was off to Ajax, Pires was expensive and Real were him plus wasn’t he a French international, Dennis was quality so no idea what you are on about, Henry was a highly regarded Clairefontaine product who played for France while Anelka - you are right as he was at psg I think and I’d never heard of him however the proper Boss had an eye for attacking talent. What’s your point?

Not sure I’d be screaming in my pillow Yasr - these were th3 days we actually added positions we needed and strengthened even when we thought we couldn’t.
Do t think bringing Wenger at his peak is appropriate when comparing to Arteta who has an almost bottomless pit of money and a brand of Arsenal football th#nks to Wenger.
