So, the white elephant rears it's head for me for the first time. Calm discussions if possible, but is it time for Arsene to go?

Biggest fan of what he has done, built, the style of football overall, many good memories, he will always be a legend but maybe it is time for a change, even if we get fourth/ third and the FA Cup maybe he will go gracefully.

Will he know when it's time to go, and not fight it? I hope so. If we win the FA Cup, get CL, he might go out on the trophy and make it painless for us all. I hope it's amicable when the time comes. Lots of history.

Baggins your right we can't go on like this, I think FA cup and 5th is the answer now, I never believed I would write that at Christmas.
Every season we make the CL it papers over the cracks let's face it we are light years behind city and Chelski and Liverpool have overtakenand left us for dead. Who next?

In a word. Yes.

Hopefully after winning the FA cup but regardless of what happens I think he'l go.

However let's not forget the post Fergie era and the Moyes affect!

It WILL happen to us so careful who or what you wish for!

SAF would titles up to the bitter end of his United career. We haven't won anything in almost a decade. We won't suffer the same effect as United.

I think his time is up yes. I hope though he does at least go out a bit of high in winning the FA cup, a trophy of any kind is what this side needs badly a taste of victory will start to install a bit more of a winner mentality in this side. The thing is even though we are firm favourites you would still not put your mortgage on it there is still always a doubt, remember Birmingham.

Anyway Wenger has simply not adapted and up'd his own game to met the challenges of City and Chelsea in particular. Yes it is difficult fighting them with them having unlimited budgets in effect but Wenger has gradually but surely replaced title winning quality players with slightly inferior replacements as each year goes by.

Veira for example has never been replaced and can't really count Diaby as his replacement.

Not only that but the side has gone from a side which had great balance and abit of everything power and physicality aswell as technical ability, flair and pace into a team that is technically sound and good at keeping the ball but is lacking considerably in other attributes.

Out team is overloaded with small central based technical midfielders Cazorla, Ozil, Wilshire, Rosicky, Ox, Diaby, and Ramsey aswell really are all best in the central attacking midfield area. We then have one aging deep lying ball player in Arteta that we purchased about 4 years too late(His prime years are well behind him) then and one average what would you may call a DM in Flamini who works hard and shouts a lot but not much else.

Kalstrom not sure where he plays to be honest, Ok I guess. Then you are down to younger players like Gnarby and the like.

Wenger just tries to fit all these technical players in positions they are not best suited to which is to the determent to our team effectiveness as a whole. Too many ball players coming to the ball not enough runners in behind. A team Like Arsenal should NOT be missing Walcott and Ramsey as badly as they are because we should have players that can fit those roles when they are out injured. Why are they the only 2 players that give us that real threat in behind penetration, arguably Podolski aswell who Wenger does not fancy all that much.

Without being fantastic in the 2nd half you could see as soon as Podolski came on down the left and Cazorla shifted inside we were 50% Better but why wait so long.

Wenger has no tactical knowhow whatsover otherwise why do the same mistakes keep happening time and again. Wenger is perhaps a decent personal coach in developing young players and giving them confidence but in terms of preparing a 1st team as unit tactically to nullify the opposition and win games he is pretty clueless if you ask me. What gives this away is that he talks endlessly of the team spirit but nothing else no where we went wrong tactically or anything the its wooley statements that mean nothing like playing with handbrake on stuff like that.

We have gone stale and need a urgent make-over which starts with the manager. I respect Wenger as man and for what he has meant to Arsenal over the past years but I no longer rate him.

I think we are in a bit of a hole as fans. Personally I feel we need to change because the team looks so stagnant. Wenger seems to have run out of ideas and even the staunchest Wenger supporters cannot excuse the lack of common sense this season.
For example tonight when the ox was taken off at 1-0 down……WTF! I know Podolski played a major role in our goals but what the hell were Flamini and Arteta doing that was so crucial in our attempt to win the game…. it made no sense to me. In my opinion we were fortunate to get a draw as we created nothing except the two chances we scored. Very Very lucky…… in fact we should have lost because for some reason the ref blew for full time when they were through on goal.
If a manager cannot get the players their ability motivated organised and focused at this stage of the season something has to be wrong.
Sorry on to my actual point, if Wenger goes the board will replace the manager with someone with the same philosophy. Basically someone who will meet the board’s financial goals whilst keeping the stadium full.
We need change at board level, does everyone seriously think with a different manager picked by the fat cats at the top will change that much? Why do we have so much money sitting there doing nothing? Why are ticket prices so high?
Our club has so much potential to win trophies……… we just need some serious investment in the team and we will be set for the next 20 years. Instead the board seem to be sucking the money out of the club instead of reinvesting it into the team and giving back to the fans who line their pockets.
