I'm assuming all the rumours about Martinelli asking for a huge hike in wages are clickbait (how would anyone know these things! ) But it got me thinking. Does anyone think Arsenal would do another Aaron Ramsey and sell a player like Martinelli if they consider his demands too high? And would us fans be happy if they did?

{Ed014's Note - I read that earlier Sally and it’s always the same, a player has a great game and they create some kind of story.

That being said, he seems really happy hear and the club would be mad not to sign him, Saliba and Saka up to new deals.

I think the club have had their fingers burnt by both Auba and Ozil so doubt they’d do it again but these guys are young, hungry and very talented so certainly deserve bigger contracts for me.

They are our future.

100% Ed, I often wonder though whether agents can be problematic as I assume they are on a high percentage!

{Ed014's Note - it’s hard to call them problematic as they look to get the best for their clients but to us it sure looks that way and no doubt some genuinely are, Rabiot’s mum, who is his agent, for instance! ?

Hi Sally, the story doesn't match everything we've witnessed for ourselves from Martinelli, he's was a sub when lesser players were starting ahead of him and never complained once, he simply did his talking on the pitch whenever he got a chance.

Everything we have seen for ourselves says he loves life at Arsenal and it's confident enough in his own ability to take his time and let the riches come to him both on and off the pitch.

In the words of Rio: "get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there"!
