Looks like Chambers is maturing as a player. Its a dilemma as if he stays he needs to play. Perhaps in the cup matches, with Holding? I don't like the idea of Elneny and Maitland-Niles playing in the back three, although this may only have been in the Emirates Cup, to out all the players and try to avoid players playing on both days. We have Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Mertescker, Koscielny and Mustafi for theCB roles, as well as Monreal and Kolasinac whi can fill in. There were criticisms of our back three last weekend, but don't forget Mustafi and Gabriel were absent. A first choice back three of Koscielny, Mustafi and Mertesacker would be quite strong,

I think Kos. Mustafi and Monreal will be the 1st Choice back 3, Monreal ahead of Holding as LCB he is left footed for better balance when shifting out wide left. Holding and Gabriel will be next in line Then Mert next in line after that. That leaves Chambers well down the pecking order especially if we do persist with a back 3 without traditional fullbacks, I can't see him getting any realistic 1st team game time. I would be more than willing to sell for the 16-20Mill we are after tbh to help raise funds towards Lamar or more importantly I feel a powerful central midfielder. Jenkinson and Dubuchy should be sold/ released also but not really going to get much for them if anything to make any real difference.

Kolasinac will be 1st choice LWB in this system by all accounts, This is why I would not mind keeping Gibbs for LWB competition but again he is injury prone so understand selling him as we could use Monrel at LWB if needed and bring Holding or Gabby in the back 3. We are not too bad off for numbers at the back in this back 3 system . We have too many strikers at present also but are short of one or two in midfield with Carzorla being unable to return and Wilshire's future in doubt. We are relying a lot on the Xhaka and Ramsey partnership.

Elneney will not be used at CB Wenger hinted as such just wanted to get him some game time pre season. Maitland Miles will likely be loaned out.

I'm confused that you say we have to many strikers? The fans have been screaming for a new CF and now we have gotten one we have to many forwards? Between four competitions we need a good squad.

Defensively I think Chambers, Jenkinson and Debuchy all need to go.

Well at present we have Perez, Campbell (although on long term loan) , Wellbeck, Walcott, Giroud, Sanchez and now Lacazette, so 7 forwards is a bit excessive when you consider Ozil and possibly Iowbi also can come into the attacking positions also. So yeah while they are not all best quality there is too many in numbers. Looks Like Perez is going to be sold and would assume Campbell also. The question regardless of what happens to Sanchez given Lacazette is 1st choice will Wellbeck, Walcott and Giroud be happy to be moved in and out of side in regular rotation especially with World cup places up for grabs. I think Giroud is the one we may also lose in particular I don't think wants to move away but he will need regular 1st team football to get in the France squad.
