The reason why Arsenal are backing Wenger is because he is a class act (queue Steve to jump in and berate me our hard working manager who loves the club with a none substantial, tyrannical rant. ) the real fans who remember the club pre 1992 I'm sure will agree with me, in Arsene I trust!

I do but it is time for change.

I do agree with you but I do think we need to freshen up a bit.

Hughesa, Its obvious what's he's done, and like you say. Pre 1992, the club is in a hole and not moving anywhere. He's done something nobody else could have or would have done, sacrificed what could have been a trophy laden career to move us to the Emirates and make sure we are stable.

BUT I think he's done that now, and it's time for him to pass it onto someone who is going to use this solid platform and really enjoy it. A fresh pair of eyes are needed.

Let's all live in the past and celebrate success of a decade ago, the club is stagnant and there is NO progress any fool can see that.

Hughsea, I supported the club pre 1992 as you put it and all my family and we used to enjoy watching our club, pre 1992 was pre 1992 but it was still arsenal football club and it was still successful. Probably the best team I had ever watched was the team in 1971, we even managed three fa cup finals and another cup winners cup final under the dodgy terry neal but I also enjoyed watching the George graham managed teams and the way he tactically pinched the euefa cup winners cup off palma and dominated teams in the late 80s and early 90s.

I enjoyed watching arsenal under wenger and again watched the best team I had ever seen in 2004. Personally I didn't think anyone could ever replace GG but they did. What I did learn was every manager I have watched was accountable and all were and are replaceable when they can't do no more. You have your opinion and I have mine. Im not on my own either.

Steve/ Akie thank you for your responses, I feel passionate at the moment as I believe the way a lot of fans are acting towards Arsene is unacceptable (so called fans marching before games and some scenes I have witnessed inside The emirates) . I believe our short falling of recent seasons is not due to the manager but the boards leadership and direction. It pains me to see such a stalwart of the club be vindicated in the way he currently is by us, the fans and at the moment the proverbial dagger is cutting the great man very deep which pains me to see.

Despite all our frustrations with Wenger, he has been a great manager and we will miss him once he has gone. We need to stop moaning and get behind Wenger and the team. Another FA Cup would be awesome, combined with a top four finish. Remember it could always be worse, just ask Toot fans!

You guys aren't serious? You do remember we won premiet league titles before right? We never ever just accepted top 4 so what has changed? Because u love arsene more than u love arsenal? Why are u changing objectives just because of the manager? We all know arsene has been a great manager but as we have seen in recent times we are going backwards, not forwards. We are not competing and as a result a change in direction is obviously needed. Arsene is fully respected by everyone in football but it is time to move on and it is time for arsenal to move on and it is time for the fans to move on. We want trophies, not 5-1 and a top 4 finish. We want the arsenal of old, not thia new arsenal who are clinging on to the past and not striving forward. Come on guys its time for him to leave and if u really don't see that then u really do love arsene more than arsenal. Remember it's ARSENAL fc not ARSENE fc.
