Alex 'whatever we paid for him (Lacazette) plus whatever we paid for Perez'. Two things 1) minus the fee we eventually sell Perez for 2) we haven't paid anything for Lacazette at this moment we are discussing rumours and wish lists.

Steve/ Akie thank you for your responses, I feel passionate at the moment as I believe the way a lot of fans are acting towards Arsene is unacceptable (so called fans marching before games and some scenes I have witnessed inside The emirates) . I believe our short falling of recent seasons is not due to the manager but the boards leadership and direction. It pains me to see such a stalwart of the club be vindicated in the way he currently is by us, the fans and at the moment the proverbial dagger is cutting the great man very deep which pains me to see.

Dags, don't get hung up on stats for example Giroud has almost a 1 in 2 goal ratio for Montpellier and Balotelli almost goal a game for Nice both in the same league. There are many factors when signing players and we may not get either however I would question anyone's judgement that would rather have Lacazette. Sure Mbappe has an element of risk as he is so raw howevever I have not had the feelings of pure joy I get from watching him since watching Henry in his Arsenal days. If Arsenal really want to make a statement I would suggest Mbappe the hottest prospect in world football rather than Lacazette that barring Westham nobody else wants would be it. When I go to Wembley on the 13th of August I know who I want to pay to watch!
{Ed001's Note - I have to agree with you Gooner, Mbappe is a level or two above Lacazette in terms of ability.}

Billybob, to quote AD that's a total heads gone. Last season we finished outside the champion league qualifying positions for the first time in over 20 years, we are amongst the top 10 richest clubs in the world plying our trade in the most desirable league and arguably most desirable city in the world. I am not going to get drawn into who I want us to sign however we should be targeting the worlds elite.
