Hi Ed - Are Arsenal back in for in Jan?

Kimonos

{Ed002's Note - To buy from whom?}

1.) 19 Oct 2022 12:36:18
Rumours Juve want to get rid (I know they’ve agreed a loan with obligation) .

{Ed014's Note - I read they wanted to get rid as he wasn’t pulling up any trees mate so not sure he’s what we need.

You ever seen him play at all? Is he any good?

2.) 19 Oct 2022 16:39:39
Sorry I’m talking about Locatelli.

22 Jan 2021 07:38:00
Ødegaard has chosen to join the Arsenal for the remainder of the season!

Kimonos

1.) 22 Jan 2021 10:12:39
It will be interesting to see the outcome. Ballague stated last night that he would prefer to join Real Soc over Arsenal and if that's the case then it's already a problem before he's arrived.

2.) 22 Jan 2021 10:28:45
Yeah I believe that was the case before Arsenal came in for him. Since we registered interest he only wanted Arsenal.

08 Jan 2021 15:06:52
Hi Ed, is there any interest in Nketiah? Cheers.

Kimonos

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anyone approaching Arsenal.}

27 Aug 2020 12:23:23
Hi Ed, do you have any updates on Guendouzi? His number was used by George Lewis in the friendly this week so surely he’s on his way out this window?

Kimonos

{Ed002's Note - Matteo Guendouzi (DM/CM) the player has made it clear he wants to be playing at a higher level of football than Arsenal can aspire to and his agent has been hawking him around Italy, Spain and France for a while. I imagine Arsenal will be open to offers as they are for their other DM players and may be an exchange for Lemar, Partey, Coutinho or Ceballos might be an option. Villarreal are keen, PSG would be keen at the right price if Paredes were to move.}

27 Aug 2020 07:41:30
Hi Ed - Torreira to Fiorentina?

Kimonos

{Ed002's Note - Lucas Torreira (DM/CM) told the club he wants to leave and his agent has been working on trying to find interest in Italy. To my knowledge there has been nothing so far but the club will be open to selling him as he does not seem to be in favour with the coach. Roma, Milan, Fiorentina and previously interested Napoli are the clubs who have been approached - there may be others.}

1.) 27 Aug 2020 12:22:09
Cheers, Ed. Hopefully we can’t recoup some sort of fee. I am assuming it will most likely be a loan.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are desperate to sell players where they can.}

Özil to Fenerbahce, three and a half year deal!

Kimonos

{Ed047's Note - a relief for everyone in reality, he’s not been in any training pics or videos for a week or so thus guessed something was going on.

Good luck to him hope it works out

1.) 06 Jan 2021 11:40:30
Hope so, not because I dislike him but just so that people finally shut up about him being put back in the squad 😂.

2.) 06 Jan 2021 12:35:19
Sy4 will still go on about him.

3.) 06 Jan 2021 11:53:47
What did we get for him - 30m?

4.) 06 Jan 2021 12:00:30
I'm reading we will still pay his wages, seems a bit strange!

5.) 06 Jan 2021 13:27:08
Malaga you crack me up 😂.

6.) 06 Jan 2021 15:11:05
If it happens then it's a good thing for all concerned.
As for his wages, well we were always going to have to pay them until June no matter what.

Good luck Mesut, genuinely sorry things never worked out at Arsenal, see could have been so good together 😣 C'est La Vie, as they say in the Fens.

7.) 06 Jan 2021 11:53:47
What did we get for him - 30m?

9.) 06 Jan 2021 18:31:15
Is there an echo on this post 😂.

20 Dec 2020 20:44:43
Hi Ed, do the Arsenal have a chance of signing Buendia in January? Cheers.

Kimonos

23 Oct 2020 12:52:38
Hi Ed - do you have any info/ explanation on why Ozil has found himself in this situation at Arsenal?

Kimonos

{Ed002's Note - It is not worth explaining - it will simply lead to abuse.}

1.) 23 Oct 2020 14:02:44
Hi Ed, why do you always say abuse? I never seem to find any of the posters here being rude unless I’m missing something. Is it not possible to block the rude ones?

{Ed002's Note - There has been plenty of abuse that has been deleted. It is best to explain no more than the minimum on this page.}

2.) 23 Oct 2020 15:10:51
His agent is blaming Mikel. I'm so sad it has come to this : (.

3.) 23 Oct 2020 16:36:26
Ffs he’s finished at the club

Change the record and get over it.

4.) 23 Oct 2020 17:26:59
I've seen plenty of people being rude DG, feeling entitled to answers on a free website and then getting abusive when they don't get them or don't like them and I can imagine there's loads that don't get posted! I always thought they should do a compilation of the worst ones so we see what they have to deal with.

{Ed047's Note - it’s literally every day eden and you couldn’t put the posts anywhere with some of the content.

5.) 23 Oct 2020 17:40:07
What is his agent blaming Mikel for Sally?
Not standing up to the board and demanding the right to pick who he choses?
If he did that he'd probably be sacked but for his long term career and reputation in the game he'd be better off being sacked than be the boards puppet who's doomed to failure.

6.) 23 Oct 2020 19:02:41
Hi Mrs Whitehall :-) still not a fan of freedom of speech I see ;-) .

7.) 23 Oct 2020 19:14:42
John, there’s freedom of speech and going on about the same bollox, over and over again.

Maybe it’s me, but come on the day I put a player before the club, is the day I give up.

Wenger, Emery and Arteta all can’t be wrong.

{Ed001's Note - but all 3 played him. So you make absolutely no sense. In what way could they not be wrong? For picking him? For getting him new contracts to keep him?}

8.) 23 Oct 2020 19:26:20
Ed, Wenger and gazidas gave him his new contract and anyone who says he’s been good the last 3 years hasn’t watched him.

I’ve seen you give an opinion on pea and he has delivered a 100 times more than Ozil.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so. No point talking to you about Ozil. It would be best for all concerned if you just scrolled past any mention of him, instead of trolling every thread about him.}

9.) 23 Oct 2020 19:28:54
Sorry ed I should of been more clear, they gave him numerous chances.

{Ed001's Note - so your point is they were right to give him chances then? Again you make no sense. They wanted him in the team, you have just admitted that.}

10.) 23 Oct 2020 19:35:32
I’m more interested because something is wrong with our club. You don’t drop one of your best players during C.V. One that is exactly what we need and one that wants to play and one that at long last we can afford as a luxury. Zero sense just like some of Mikel’s selections and tactics. I want to know if it’s Mikel or the club or the player etc. That’s important to me as we hated the club was run in the last years of Wenger - so why would I not care now as it’s at the heart of our issues in my books. It’s less about Ozil and more about the cause. You’re so hung up on Ozil hate that your not looking at why some may be interested.

Look at the strong words from his agent

“Arsenal fans deserve an honest explanation, not [Arteta] saying, 'I failed Ozil, '"

"You didn’t fail Ozil. You failed to be fair, honest and transparent and treat someone with respect who has a contract and was loyal all the time. "

Every single person outside knows he hasn’t treated him fairly. He didn’t give him a chance to show himself this season. ’

‘If he is still under contract, the player should have the option to stay and fight for his place. Mesut hasn’t been given that. Why would you put a player on the bench twice for 90 minutes [against Brighton and Crystal Palace in June] if he wasn’t fit or committed? ’

‘Everyone says he’s training well. Per Mertesacker [Arsenal defender, 2011-18 and now a coach at the club’s academy] said this publicly. I spoke with at least five team-mates who say he is training great. They say Mesut is one of their best players, and they cannot understand why he is left out. ’

‘So it can’t be the training – if it is not the pitch, what are the footballing reasons? If you talk, you should tell the truth that the Arsenal fans deserve otherwise don’t talk at all. ’

Arteta played alongside Ozil between 2013 and his retirement in 2016 and Sogut highlighted the way the 38-year-old was treated by Arsene Wenger during his final years with the club.

"He started zero games in the Premier League in his last season.

"He wasn’t there in the last six months at all, busy doing his coaching badges and meeting coaches for his future. Mesut plays for one English team and that’s it because he feels he can only play for that team. He is a Gunner in the end.
"Mesut is not a player who is yesterday a Toffee [Arteta played six years at Everton] and today a Gunner. Arteta didn’t play at all in the final two years, but they still registered him because he was given a contract.

"Arsene Wenger put him on the field for the final two minutes of his last game just to give him a nice moment, even though he wasn’t fit for months. Look at how [Arteta] was treated in his final two years, and how Mesut is getting treated in his final year. "

Come on Arsenal - speak up.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are not going to say anything. It is done now.}

11.) 23 Oct 2020 19:44:21
Hi Mark i understand your not interested in talking about Ozil and that's fine mate but other people are interested so surely it's about respecting each others different interests.
I don't like watching Rugby but no way do I want to stop others watching it.
Plus it's not at all about putting a player before the club it's all about the way the club behaves.

12.) 23 Oct 2020 19:51:55
You are probably right Ed. Such a shame the way we conduct ourselves.

13.) 23 Oct 2020 21:17:23
Sorry Gunner just seen your question from earlier. I think SY has answered it :)

14.) 23 Oct 2020 21:35:28
No problem Sally :-) .

15.) 24 Oct 2020 00:30:07
Hi ed001, can I ask your thoughts on ozil?

{Ed001's Note - he is being harshly treated, there is no reason to leave him out of the squad altogether. Whatever you think of him one way or the other, he should at least be in the squad, it is imbecilic to leave him out when you could well end up with a bunch of positive tests leaving your squad desperately needing players at any time.}

Hi Ed, Bellerin to PSG? Guardian saying they have submitted a 25m offer.

Kimonos

1.) 02 Sep 2020 10:15:21
If the rumours are to be believed then apparently PSG Bayern and Juve are all interested signing Hector.
IF they were to be true then that's the champions of France Germany and Italy all chasing one of our players which IF true would pose the question of, what do these 3 title winning clubs see in Hector that we don't see?

2.) 02 Sep 2020 11:17:37
I don't think that it's a case of us not seeing it mate because he's our first choice RB. I'm also sure that Arsenal don't want to let him go but every player has his price and we need to raise funds. If an acceptable offer came in and the player wanted to leave, then Arsenal would do the deal but I don't see it happening this summer and I certainly do not see Hector asking to leave. We have only just brought in Cedric as back up to Hector to give us the right squad depth for a full season in multiple competitions. He'll stay mate :)

3.) 02 Sep 2020 11:59:38
I hope so Glen as I personally rate Hector and think he will flourish in any decent settled team and I want that team to be us rather than watch another player leave Arsenal and achieve big prizes elsewhere.

Although it does pose the question of Maitland Niles if Hector stays?

I don't see Maitland Niles winning a pace in midfield if Ceballos comes back.

{Ed047's Note - this will be a season like no other with games coming thick and fast so whilst we still need to trim the squad I wouldn’t put Bellerin in with those that need to go.

I think the additions of Partey and Ceballos with exits for Papa, Ozil, Guendouzi and maybe one of Chambers or Holding would be a very decent transfer window.

4.) 02 Sep 2020 12:29:13
I agree ed mate and I think everyone is forgetting LT11 if we could get40mill for him it could help to balance the books.

5.) 02 Sep 2020 12:14:19
It certainly would Ed047 mate, it would be our most progressive and positive window I can remember if it was to happen this way. I think it would certainly send us into the season on a very positive footing.

{Ed047's Note - For a change I’m trying not to get to ahead of myself about the prospect of that happening but I think we’d all be more than happy with it.

In answer to Malaga as I missed his post, yep had forgotten about Torriera and if he does want to go then let’s get some decent money for him.

6.) 02 Sep 2020 12:18:06
Absolutely ed047, Bellerin for me is our captain in spirit if not in actual fact. Would be mad to let him go, especially for just 25m. As far as I'm concerned we only have 2 RBs right now, I still see Ainsley's future as a reliable utility player. You need your John O'Sheas and your Ji-Sung Parks as much as your Aubayangs and Cescs.

{Ed047's Note - I know some don’t like Bellerin but we also have to be realistic about who we possibly replace him with and I’m definitely with you on Maitland-Niles.

He’s the potential to be one of the Milner’s of this world and be a great asset to the club.

7.) 02 Sep 2020 20:02:28
Strange if they let Bellerin leave.

Gabriel’s a Gooner!

Kimonos

1.) 20 Aug 2020 06:29:43
Not quite yet mate! 😬.

2.) 20 Aug 2020 09:37:49
Not heard much after we agreed a fee so I don't think it will happen.

3.) 20 Aug 2020 11:02:59
He’s on a flight to get his medical done.

4.) 20 Aug 2020 13:34:04
Phew that's good SY.

5.) 20 Aug 2020 15:13:40
On his flight to Italy yeah 😂.

6.) 20 Aug 2020 17:27:18
Just read quarantine might be causing a problem.

{Ed047's Note - knowing the amount of testing they have done is it really likely to be a problem Sally.

Not sure how it’s working now with arrivals and negative tests etc, he'll more than likely have flown by private jet too.

If he really is coming that is.

7.) 20 Aug 2020 20:18:24
Please don't tell me ManU have come in for him!

{Ed047's Note - I don’t know for sure but these are ed02’s latest comments about him about an hour ago;

“Manchester United spoke to those representing Gabriel last week. One offer from another side was withdrawn as they considered him a good player but immature and rather flakey. A decision on his future will soon be made”.

So it shouldn’t be long before we know where he moves, but to who is still the question sally.

8.) 20 Aug 2020 20:47:02
Apparently PSG and United have been in contact with his representatives today. We had this Saliba but hopefully its too late and we can get it done. Will soon see!

9.) 20 Aug 2020 21:26:24
Spuds the team who withdrew offer! COYG.

10.) 21 Aug 2020 00:23:42
He will go united.
