Valhovic.
Really. What's going on? I read that we're in for him, why wouldn't we be he looks class, but I'm also reading that he isn't interested and would rather go elsewhere.
If that's the case why are we bothering? Is Arteta trying to pull off a phantom of the opera style move? Kidnap the love interest and keep them prisoner until they learn to love their captor? Seriously. What is the point chasing a player that doesn't want to come?
Then again, it's that time of year again isn't it?
On a different note, does anyone remember a poster from the spurs page called 'Da Sacc Man'? Odd sort.
COYG. Hopefully Edu will do a January madness for us!

I remember Arteta saying, "The moment we mention Arsenal, Ian [Wright] you know what it means around the world, " "Everybody wants to come here and we have a really clear idea of what we are.

"It doesn't need much convincing and if they do, for me it's not a good starting point. If I have to convince a player to stay or to join us. To Arsenal? It holds me back a little bit.

"It has to be 'what do we have to do? I want to play for that club and represent exactly the values the style of play that I want'. That's the kind of emotion I want to hear at the start.

Taking his statement on face value, surely the club making a genuine bid for Vlahovic would suggest he has a level of desire to join? Otherwise, like you said Slaam, we are completely wasting our time.

Arsenal could surely only afford him by selling Saka? Like circa 80m.

{Ed014's Note - how would you have a clue what Arsenal can afford?

Because 002 has said plenty before that Arsenal don’t have money?
