What is everyone's opinion of the Kroenke interview? (if you saw it of course)

{Ed014's Note - oh I didn’t see it Sally, I’ll have to have a watch, was it interesting?

What did he say Sally?

He said, "Hello nice to see you all. Please tell the raver to mind the gap".

I feel he's being a little insensitive, but what do I know. I'm a right bleeding heart.

I thought he seemed pretty honest Ed. I got the feeling the more he watches football the more he will be a proper fan.

I thought he seemed OK Ed. I think he will genuinely fall in love with our beautiful game, which is key I reckon.
He was upfront about the Super League and I'm glad they now have fans on board. I'm always mindful that people like Josh Kroenke have dollar signs for eyeballs but even so I feel a little optimistic about him.

{Ed014's Note - I was reading a post on the United page from a couple of guys who live in the states and follow American football and how the American owners would have loved the European Super League as it is how they love to operate.

No pressure to win anything with money always rolling in.

The poster was called Shawthing if you wanted to do a search on the United page and read it. It was only yesterday or the day before.

It made for concerning reading.

I've watched it Sally and I didn't buy his explanation of the breakaway league for a second, he claimed that it was Arsenal's view at the time " that the European super league was a terrible idea and the only thing that was worse than it actually going ahead was it going ahead and Arsenal not being part "

It was well documented at the time that Arsenal were among the small group of clubs leading the way trying to make the European super league a reality.

Personally when the person being interviewed kicks the interview off with such an obvious untrue statement it's a little bit difficult to believe anything they say following it.

That’s the issue with American sports owners Ed. They see these teams as franchises, not teams. Our very owners are guilty of moving a team to a different city, so why would they ever feel any guilt for being part of a guaranteed super league for their ‘European franchise’.

In fact, I suspect their next move will be to add an overseas game into the season, played somewhere in Asia, and let’s be honest, if a foreign state came along with a proposal to base a premier league club in a purpose built stadium in that country, do you think the Kronkees would say on yer bike?

{Ed014's Note - nothing would surprise me mate, the way they look at things is so different to the norm in English football.

They’ve jumped in during the golden era of Premier league football and the money it’s awash with and intend no doubt to make hay whilst the sun shines with little thought of trophies.

It all sounds very depressing and there was me thinking I could see a glimmer of positivity.
