So Guendouzi has been called up to the french senior squad

The lad needed a hand to manage his personality but that is not where Mikels strengths lay, I'm not sure where Mikels strengths do actually lay but without having a go at him man management and handling individuals hasn't appeared to be something he is skilled in.

Guendozi has loads of raw passion and I personally liked seeing him express that passion for Arsenal whether on the pitch from the bench.

I would love Guendouzi back at Arsenal. That bit of spite and Aggression would add something to our team. Him and Saliba have been booted out.

Hi Mark, if it was only Guendozi, Mikel struggled with then I would certainly be being harsh on Arteta mate, but it appear Mikel struggles with a number of players on the man management side of things

To get the best out of any group of people your charge of you have to be able adapt to each person on an individual level as well has having across the board rules if you are going to get the best out a group. I personally see no sign of that being something Mikel is good at.

It can’t be the managers fault all the time. It’s clear to see some players are a law onto themselves.

{Ed014's Note - I understand that Malaga but Arteta has alienated some talented youngster as well as falling out with senior pros.

Ed02 has alluded to this and Ed01 to the fact Arteta has knocked all the confidence from Lacazette by his actions on the touch line alone.

Managers have still managed to get the best out of players even if they didn’t see eye to eye. Arteta appears to be unable to resolve any issue but just steps away from it.

When has it ever been a good thing to bite your nose off to spite your face.

Lets not forget he also had issues in Germany with Hertha Berlin so is clearly an issue with the player. Sometimes there just isn't much you can do with certain people no matter how good your man management skills are.

look at Ravel Morrison, how many managers has he played under?

I have come to realise Mikel is not the right man for the job, but he has done good with some of the youngsters.

Like Saka and ESR. I think he has helped Pepe too.

We'll see how he handles the new lot. The good news is, with all of these youngsters, if they're up for it, they can forge a real group mentality. That normally requires a bit of senior leadership though, and we seem short of that at the moment.

Who are all these young players? The ones that have all just signed new long term deals? ESR? Balagun? Tierney? Saka?

If you mean Saliba? that will because he isn't the defender Arteta wants he is not a ball playing defender and will not progress from the back.

{Ed014's Note - surely it doesn’t hurt to have a defender who can defend, such as Saliba, next to a ball player such as White? 🤷‍♂️

Hi Ed014 mate, as you say some of the Eds have given insight on this page as to Arteta struggling to form good working relationship with several players and the things we have all witnessed and the facts we certain quite a few players being completely frozen by Mikel back this information up very heavily.

As for people naming a handful of younger players who can get on with Mikel, well even Donald Trump didn't fall out with and fire everyone is his administration, I think handful who never questioned anything he said or did actually survived the full 4 years with him, so Mikel would have to go some to not be able to work with absolutely anyone at all.
