Great win yesterday, good solid win, tactics, team selection, mental attitude, all there.Just like to make my point about Emery.I think it was quite clear in the end he was not up to the job,I can see why Arsenal appointed him.I personally was over the moon when he came, simply for his 3 Europa Cup wins, and 20 odd game unbeaten streak right at the beginning of his tenure.I was also very Happy when we appointed Mikel,I am sure there will be a few hiccups on the way,but given time and money I think he is the man who can take us back to consistently winners trophies

Personally I was delighted to see Emery arrive TG mate but if honest I was just happy we had finally moved on from Arsene who was unfortunately taking us nowhere in the end.
I always knew and I said at the time Arsene announced he was leaving it might well take us 2 3 4 or 5 attempts to find our next title winning manager before we get it right and if we've got it right second time round with Arteta we've done extremely well in my opinion.
United are 4 attempts and counting since Sir Alex
Liverpool had how many attempts between Dalglish mk1 and Klopp?
And Spurs have had more goes at replacing Bill Nicholson than Britain's got Talent have had people audition for the show.
We weren't exactly inundated with options before offering Mikel the job but hopefully that will turn out to be a lucky thing in the end, who knows.

{Ed002's Note - He was far from first choice for Arsenal. If they can sort out the issues with the structure they can get a good Technical Director and then they stand some chance of getting a leading coach (be it Arteta in the long term or someone else). The issue that still needs fixing is the management structure.

Absolutely Ed002, I think we need someone to take the lead and set the whole club back on track.
Forcing Sven out was an absolutely huge mistake and far bigger lost to the club even than letting Auba leave would be, for me Sven was our best signing in years.

The departure of sven was a backwards step in my opinion. we need a good technical director. ama fraid Edu is not up to the task. i thought when he joined we will be signing hot brazilian prospects but none is happening. All the best young brazilian players are going to real madrid. Yes he signed martinelli but martinelli is not on the level of players like renier and guimares. we seem to be signing rejects!

I am not liking Raul and his so called contacts book. I can understand signing pablo mari but why give a 4 year contract to a 29 year old southampton reject? He makes so many decisions that don't make financial sense. Why sign players using mainly super agents? Has anyone noticed that since Raul joined we seem to be signing players with super agents especially kia joorabchian? The same agent that wenger didn't want to deal with and reason being they are shady.
