Eds, I know you don't li, e talking money but I was reading an post about our financial position. Our current statutory accounts don't look great and to be fair have been propped up by 1. Player sales, 2. Real estate 3. Slightly improved commercials 4. Football I come from gate and tv receipts
Our revenue plummeted due to no Champions league and replaced by EL.
We've spent a fortune on players and wages. Generated £0 from the departures of Welbeck, Wilshere, Ramsey, Sanchez and Cazorla. We have a number of players with vastly reduced if not nominal resale value and EL looking like a dream for next season - this is very concerning. We need to reduce wage bill and improve the squad with the current squad having very few gems. am I over reacting?

{Ed002's Note - As I spent the summer explaining and have explained since Arsenal have made a complete mess financially of their dealings and the structure is a joke. The reason the were hawking around the coaching job on the basis of working with what they have or selling o buy at lower fees isbecause of this.}

Looks like a 💩 storm ahead if we don’t get EL next season in terms of exits, ability to sign players as well as the ability to pay for them.

Come on MA - if you build it, they will come.

Spot on Ed, the club has been a financial disaster since the Dein/ Fiszman era. Gazidis was a disaster. We are no longer a top four outfit and I will be surprised if we manage to qualify for the EL this season. Whilst other teams have recently brought in top managers such as Mourinho and Ancelotti, we have installed a coach, albeit a good one, with zero managerial experience. Worrying times at the club.

Like Ed said we might have to sell and buy with the money we make from sales if I'm correct in it.

Oh no you mean no Spursday night league next season? How will we cope? I remember Liverpool Chelsea and Leicester all having seasons with no European football everyone saying it gave them an advantage as Chelsea and Leicester won the league and Liverpool finished 2nd after throwing the League away in the final 3 games and none of them suffered without Europa league football.
In fact Leicester narrowly avoided relegation the season before becoming champions and I don't remember them spending a fortune to secure the title either, Kante 5m Varrdy 1m and Mahrez 500,000.
