Hi Ed,

I know you don'T like to speculate. I'm curious if you might offer insight into the Aubameyang situation, and what impact the Arteta appointment will have on his resigning. Or will we not be resigning him?

Thanks,

{Ed002's Note - I don't think it is anything to do with Arteta. Arsenal is a mess and I can see Aubameyangadingdong heading for pastures new.}

It would be a shame but if it's what he wants then it's best for everyone to let him go in my opinion, unhappy people don't usually feed a positive atmosphere.

Would love to see Zaha as Auba's replacement. Ed, any interest in Zaha this January or for the summer?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know if Arteta would have any interest but Arsenal made a very significant mistakle in the summer and that leaves them in a difficult poistion where they would need to sell to buy. They could potentially, if you take all costas in to account have to sell Aubameyanadingdong and Pepe to raise suitable funds. Else, where would Arsenal get £80M plys perhaps £12M costs from? Expect a far more economical solution to an Aubameyangadingdong replacement whist the club regroups.

Eddie back from Leeds for the rest of this season then think again in the summer.
The squad won't be sorted out this side of May no matter what we do but finding out what needs to be done from next summer onwards can be achieved.
Who knows by next summer 1 or 2 of Pepe Xhaka Mustafi Ozil Luis Papa might have won a few people over after Woking with Artetta, nothing to lose by giving everyone who wants it another 5 months.

Ed002, where could Aubameyang be off to?

{Ed002's Note - he will have a number of options.}

The Athletic are reporting that Arsenal will be targeting a left sided CB in January but only if someone can be moved on which is likely to be Mustafi. With Saliba coming back for next season a partner for him is most important. Only a really tempting offer will mean that Auba is sold in January. Eddie is likely to be recalled due to lack of game time and will be potentially loaned back out to somewhere that will offer him more playing time until the summer.

Any interest in Lyon's Dembele, ed02?

{Ed002's Note - Those clubs which are interested in Dembele are aware that he is not available in January.}

Hey Ed. Read a rumour that Arsenal have made contact with Napoli over a deal for Koulibaly, with a possible player exchange. They supposedly like our powerhouse LB. would you happen to know if there is any truth in this?

{Ed002's Note - Firstly, Napoli are in the market for a LB to be second string to Mário Rui as a replacement for Faouzi Ghoulam who will be leaving on a loan to buy. They have several on their list of options including Sead Kolasinac but I doubt he would want to be a second string, or move to a rather chaotic Napoli or that Napoli would want to get involved in any part exchange. Kalidou Koulibaly has been of interest to Arsenal before but now Arsenal does not have the money to buy him without selling players and quite frankly Arsenal does not have the draw.}
