Hi Eds,

what do you make of the Xhaka to Milan rumours? Also do the reports saying Torreira is unhappy with game time and his position have any truth behind them?

{Ed002's Note - He wants out and if Milan are suggested it is likely speculation or a loan. If leaving in January a loan would be most likely. Betancourt has made clear the player is unhappy with the coach and wants to look for opportunities in Italy.}

Xhaka is more than welcome to leave, Torreira however, is a useful player, and I would like to see him get a lengthy run in the team. I understand the frustration of sitting on the bench while Xhaka the elephant charges around aimlessly, but if he can't be persuaded to stay, it's better he goes. We will of course need capable replacements for both. I shan't hold my breath.

If we lose Torreira and keep Emery it will be modern Arsenal in a nutshell. The man is our best midfielder and he can't get a game in a position we desperately need him to play in. Every man and his dog can see our midfield is horribly unbalanced and our defence is absurdly exposed.

I'm not the sack-the-manager type, never called for Wenger's head in all his years, but I can't stand the sight of Emery grimacing and sucking his teeth on the touchline while Torreira sits on the bench.

Off Xhaka. Pochettino has done a fantastic job at spurs considering he’s spent just over 100 mil in the 5 years he’s been there and not giving him the season suns Spurs up. Ed. Footballs a crazy game and with Enrique who we were strongly linked with basically back with the Spain national team, would be be some Arsenal would be interested in if/ when Arsenal sack Emery?

What other Spurs manager has ever finished top 4 in 4 consecutive seasons? I've been following football since 1972 and I don't think all they're other managers combined during that 47 seasons have achieved top 4 as many times as Poch did in 5 years.

And has had as many seasons where most of the other competing teams have been struggling with problems? United and Arsenal, for example, had come to the end of long-term projects and are a mess. Was Pochettino a victim of being at the home of failure? Would he be successful at Arsenal, a club that has won trophies? Think Sol Campbell, made the switch and quickly won trophies.
