Read Ormsteins version of events mate, sounds more like a plea for support of a player under pressure from the fans.
I doubt any kind of vote took place that's just social media or tabloid trouble making in my opinion now mate.

As you know SY mate I would rather Emery wasn't our manager and Xhaka wasn't our player but I try to see thugs objectively and as unbiased as I possibly can.
True Emery Plays Xhaka regardless of his ability and performances and even made him captain before the season started all of which I totally I disagree with him on but I genuinely think today is about club and players rallying round and getting behind a colleague who is receiving difficult personal treatment from some fans.

Per Holding:

Discussing Arsenal’s captaincy situation, Holding said: ‘We had a vote the other week so we’ll see what happens and see who gets named. ‘[We had to] write names down and then give them to the manager. He will go through them obviously with his input and then we’ll see what happens. ‘I don’t know [when the decision will be announced]. I think it will be in the next couple of days or weeks. I have no idea.

Sorry but the guy can’t make a simple decision.

Why is Unai Emery asking his players to vote on who should be captain? It’s pathetic. Seriously. Make a decision!

When you start worrying about what your players think, you’re in trouble. And why does he need FIVE captains anyway?

Not much about what Emery does makes sense to me SY, the defensive side of our midfield and defence are worse now than before he arrived and that was the area that Arsene refused to address and ultimately it cost him his job.
Unfortunately we are with Emery righ back to exactly where we were with Arsene just waiting for someone somewhere to make the decision to let him go.
