Greeny,
In answer to your question I believe we have as good a chance as any for the title, last season saw us miss out by 7 points with decisive injuries to Ozil, Ramsey and Walcott. The mental frailty I also think is behind us, to get battered by City, Liverpool and Chelsea and still come back from 2 nil down against Hull to get the trophy drought behind us said a massive amount about character and belief.
The Community Shield is another injection of belief and confidence, we are stronger and have yet to sign our new DM, yes Banbury and steve.r I still believe we will. Why bid for Bender last season if he's doesn't realise we need one, Arteta made captain to me is not relevant.
City definitely stronger with the signing of Mangala, their only weak spot seems to be LB so they will be up there without a doubt. Pellegrini was not impressed with their 3-0 loss at Wembley. That won't affect their challenge.
Chelsea has to be stronger with Fabregas, Courtois and to a degree Costa although I'm still to be convinced by him, they will be up there. Quality everywhere.
Liverpool, funny to see the United boys saying they are buying for the sake of it and will be the new Spurs. To me that's pants, Liverpool have brought in guys from abroad but mostly proven EPL players, they will not disappear and will more than likely again make up the top four. The improvement in defence will be their big factor more than the loss of Saurez. Have a feeling Sterling will be the one to watch.
Everton and Spurs particularly with their quality young managers and more so Everton with a full season of Martinez under their belts will cause all sorts of problems. Top four maybe a step to far but can't rule them out totally. Spurs for me 5th, 6th or 7th because of Pochettino.
United, well if you believe the fans, they are going to win the league, a World Class manager? Sacked from Barca and Munich in his last two club jobs and Managers considered on the up in club football don't start managing national teams. So not convinced by him.
Player wise a new uncapped 24yr CM who had a good season with Bilboa, although according to them he's already a Worldy, much like Januzaj was the new Ronaldo after 2 appearances. Shaw is undoubtedly a quality investment.
They maybe have a core of 7 quality players, 3 are No 10's an injury prone striker and little quality in the way of depth in the squad with the likes of Anderson, Nani, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Rafael, Cleverly, Fellaini, Young, Valencia and Welbeck not one of whom would get near the top 4 squads. So they need to buy between now and Sept 1st.
The team was overrun by Liverpool in their recent 3-1 win for 60 mins, they lack confidence, are playing a new system and if teams get at them again like last season confidence will go again. Rooney is fitter but no better.
So if we finish above City and Chelsea hey presto we win it. THAT SIMPLE ;-)ïŠ

You won't finish above City or Chelsea.
{Ed025's Note - it wont be easy rosie....but they will be the highest team that plays in red mate...and you can take that to the bank!..

Jen
Don't forget Podolski and Ox were long term injuries at the start of last season
P.S
If AW is to sign another midfielder then we will bomb someone else out as we will be well overloaded in that department. so who? As we know it won't be MA

It's fine Ed. I'll visit some of the other top sites in Europe. Enjoy the sites such as the league of Mickiyovski Mousaw in the prestigious regions of Youwal Be-aith this year.

I'm a United fan ed and I agree Arsenal will be the highest placed team in red. Still that detracts from my point - 3rd is the highest Arsenal will finish this year, behind City and Chelsea.
{Ed025's Note - you may be surprised rosie..

I hope so! I'd believe Arsenal could win it if they had even a little bit of depth up top. Sanogo wouldn't make the bench at any of the other top sides and he's your 2nd striker. Campbell is an unknown quantity. Walcott and Sanchez are wingers and you can't count on them to start up top. That just leaves Giroud. He,s weaker than any of the other starting strikers -
UTD - RVP, Rooney, Welbeck, Wilson
City - Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic
Chelsea - Costa, Drogba, Torres, Schurrle
Pool - Sturridge, Lambert, Borini (not much stronger than yours!)
Everton - Lukaku, Traore, Kone
Your midfield is up their with the strongest (just below Chelsea) but your strikeforce isn't a premier league winning strikeforce.
3rd is where I expect you to finish, 2nd would be a good achievement. Not an attack on Arsenal just my opinion.
