Has there been any movement on the Toney front? Seems to have gone quiet other than the Saudi connections.
Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Thanks so much for the reply. Still first choice or have we moved on from him?
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal want the price to drop and may keep Eddie Nketiah (who they are currently pricing out of a move) and look to integrate Khayon Edwards. instead of adding another striker.}

Is Toney a good personality fit?

Hello Ed,
Do you think we will sign a forward player at all? Not adding any firepower would be very underwhelming to most. I appreciate outgoings would be needed and would have assumed Eddie and Nelson would both leave this summer.
Thank you.
{Ed002's Note - If Nketiah stays it would be less likely. All we can do is wait and see.}

Hi ED,
just wondering on your comment "Arsenal want the price to drop and may keep Eddie Nketiah (who they are currently pricing out of a move) "
what do you feel is a fair valuation on Eddie?
we seem to not be able to move him on so your comment seems fair, but then I see Rutter from leads go for £40 million and Delap go from city for £20 mill so I have no idea where I think a fair price is?
I also think he is more of a proven player than Smith Rowe, so would expect the same or slighty more.
i have no idea on valuations so your insight would be great.
{Ed002's Note - I have no idea but comparing to others doesn't help. Arsenal pricing him out of a move ended the interest of Marseille.}

I could be well off here as I'm sure Ed will tell me ?. However I've always thought comparing player transfer fees only tells part of the story. Surely when a club buys a player they look at transfer fees and wages and other add on fees. So nketiah overall say on a 5 year contract at 100k is going to be a much more expensive transfer on a player on less wage even the transfer fee is the same.
Just guessing obv I've no idea.

yeah that's fair enough ed,
I feel looking at my view of the quality of players going for £20 and £40 million that a fee in the region of £30 million for eddie is about right. but like you say D16 there is a lot more that goes into I.
Having said that if no one is willing to pay that, then the price is too high. If forest have indeed offered £25, million + Add ons then it seems silly not to take it for a payer who is clearly not 1st or 2nd choice.
I would actually like him to stay in the prem, it would be great to see him flourish and start to make the England squads.
