He's 31 hardly a pensioner, outstanding player, premier league proven and is a Mercedes compared to the Mondeo and Astra that are Xhaka and Parley.
I personally don't think he will come but I would love to see it happen.

I think that ship has long since sailed. We had a chance to sign him in his prime, so don’t double that mistake by now signing him well past his sell by date.

Hi Ed014 mate, apart from the odd good game here and there I don't see how he's lived up to his biling .
If he had cost 5 million from Preston 2 years ago people would be demanding an upgrade and saying he's not good enough but because he cost 40 million and came from Athletico where he was an excellent player there people make allowances based on what he used to do in Spain rather than what he has done for Arsenal over the last 2 years.
If he'd joined United rather than us 2 years ago and delivered for them what he has us we'd be saying we dodged a bullet in Parley, that's jus my personal observation and opinion mate ?.
{Ed014's Note - Hi mate, I agree in parts and it’s been unfortunate that when he’s got into form an injury has put a stop to it.
I’ve really liked what I’ve seen but want a lot more of it. I definitely don’t think we’ve dodged a bullet as he’s a quality player.
My concern now is the potential for the allegations relating to a 29yr old north London footballer to be him with more info that came out yesterday.
I think with a better player than Xhaka next to him we hopefully get to see the player in there.

We signed Partey to bring out the best in Xhaka who was singed to bring out the best in Le Coq who was brought in to bring out the best in Caz ????
Hopefully he will shine this season if not maybe in another 5 years he will hopefully do a Xhaka and finally have a pretty decent season once he's had 6 or 7 years to settle in at the club and in the ELP ???
Who know really mate, that's the beauty of life, no matter how much we think we know about the future it's constantly surprising us ????.

I remember going to the Wolves game and finally saw what he can offer, he was fantastic and dominated midfield. If we can get a complimentary player alongside him, we would be well set.
