Hi Ed 002, do you see Arsenal signing another striker if they get Gabriel Jesus?
A target man type. Calvert-Lewin, Toney etc
Many Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but I would not necessarily say it will be "target man".}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed who dl you thi k we will go for or what type if you don't mind me asking.

{Ed002's Note - They have looked at a lot.
Youssef En-Nesyri (S) West Ham and Manchester United apparently, via a third party, have made an approach to ask about availability and price for the player who has done well this season, but has mot set the world alight previously. Will be off the AFCON when it comes around. Makes little sense given Sevilla are not looking to sell and would demand around €50M but there remains the thought both sides could look again. It would be doubtful he would be a starter for Manchester United. Arsenal has also shown interest in the player as a replacement for Lacazette but they need to raise funds to balance the books and could only be a viable option if a significant sale were made. Doubt it.
Paul Onuachu (S) Arsenal and West Ham showed some interest this past summer. Unclear if it remains.
Tiago Tomas (F) Sporting are happy to letter the youngster move on as they see his development having stalled. Arsenal has been suggested by his agent as a possible destination - although he would not be one for the first team at this time but might be a potential replacement if Arsenal were to lose Folarin Balogun.
Luka Jovic (S) No.
Moussa Dembele (S) just possibly still an option.
Ivan Toney (S) The player decided on a move to Brentford instead of Swansea or Brighton and that has worked well fo0r him. Celtic also made enquiries. After a very good start to last season he has attracted scouts from a number of Premier League sides including Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Arsenal, and again Brighton. Brentford have no interest in selling unless the player pushes for a move. Proposed to Chelsea as a Tammy Abraham replacemen last summer. Won't happen.
Andrea Belotti (S) No.
Jonathan David (S/AM) I would not think so.
Alexander Isak (S) Would not think he would be interested - better options.
Lautaro Martinez (S) Inter don't want to sell and long-term admirers Barcelona and Manchester City are looking elsewhere although Barcelona would still like to add him in the summer, but significant sales would still be required. Real Madrid are trying to convince Inter to sell and will offer an assortment of players they no longer want in exchange. Atletico Madrid are interested if he becomes available but money would be an issue without a major sale - perhaps Joao Felix. There is support for him from an ex-Chelsea player who was a potential Director of Football at the club but he would be a little down the list of targets Chelsea has as they look to add a second striker. PSG could look to him if they lose Mbappe, which they may well. Interest of Spurs and Arsenal will go nowhere as the player would also want regular Champions League football. Agent has been in London and Madrid talking to Premier League clubs. A move to Spain will be preferred if Inter can be persuaded to sell. Can't see a move to Arsenal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (S) with Everton in need of adding a striker the chances of DCL being sold unless a very significant offer arises are small. However, Arsenal are stillmartinez looking for a striker and interest remains. The Real Madrid coach has said he is one of the rare English players who he thinks would take to football on the continent - so there may be interest. Other clubs looking for a striker such as Spurs have other preferred options. Manchester United may also provide an option. Possible.
Hugo Ekitike (F) Heading elsewhere.
Raul de Tomas (F) His agents see the coming summer as the last chance of a major move and have been offering him around - back to Real Madrid (which won't happen), to Atletico (unlikely), Leeds, to Spurs (as a Harry Kane back up replacement option - but they have other targets) and to Arsenal as a Lacazette replacement. Runs hot and cold - most clubs won't want the risk. Value has dropped although he has had a decent season so far. Unlikely
Victor Osimhen (S) Napoli made it clear to Chelsea who enquired just before the last summer transfer window closed that even €100M would not buy the player. Chelsea and Manchester City maintain an interest but he would not be first choice for either. Real Madrid could look to him as an option to Haaland. Manchester United Bayern Munich, Arsenal and PSG have all sent scouts and all will be looking to add strikers in the summer and lower bids have all been rejected. Seen as a possible Harry Kane replacement by Antonio Conte. Newcastle interest will go nowhere. Would not move a to a side outside of the Champions League. Lazio will likely block any move this summer.
Gianluca Scamacca (S) Heading elsewhere.
Marcus Rashford (F) has an uncertain future at Manchester United although there has been no final decision. PSG have enquired although their interest has now gone. He may provide an option for Arsenal who could shift their interest to him. Right now he would be difficult to sell and perhaps a loan away would benefit him. The club is certainly considering options.
Alvaro Morata (S) Juventus will not take up their June option - interest of Barcelona and Arsenal may remain; interest of Spurs may not.
Youssef En-Nesyri (S) Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle have approaches to ask about availability and price for the player who is inconsistent. Makes little sense.
Gabriel Jesus (S/F) This will happen I think.
Giovanni Simeone (F) Cagliari need to sell to cover themselves financially and will listen to offers. They had hoped that Atletico would come in with a good offer but that hasn't happened. West Ham have a long-term interest and spoke again with his representative, but he would need to be matched with a Centre Forward due to his size. Sevilla have had an offer rejected but could return. Hellas Verona could buy and sell on - Juventus are keen. Arsenal see him as an option to Jesus. Everton and Leeds have sent scouts to watch him. Player will look for a team playing European football.

Thank you.
Oh…. that’s interesting…. with the amount of crosses crying out to be headed in, just assumed a Giroud type would be perfect.
Do you have any Striker names in particular that they may be looking at bringing in?
Many Thanks.

Hi Ed002, Thanks for this reply - We are interested in so many players but seems none of them are either attainable, not interested in us, heading elsewhere etc. I wonder who would end up at Arsenal after Jesus, You are welcome to speculate Ed002 mate.

Thanks in any case.

{Ed002's Note - My crystal ball needs a new battery. I don't know what will happen. Arsenal are not in the Champions League which makes a huge difference.}
