Eds. have arsenal shown interest in signing dennis zakaria? Read of a potential swap deal involving xhaka. any truth in all this?

Other Clubs (Borussia Dortmund - as a Weigl replacement; Manchester United - but unless they get a decent coach; and Inter Milan who won't be able to commit to the price and want Matic instead) have been looking at him. If Arsenal are looking then it is recent and potentially expensive.

If, and that’s a big if, we are able to sell Xhaka for the £35m we paid, then perhaps we could add £15m to sign him.
