Ultimately we have to be happy with a point in what was a very tough game in every sense of the word.

An excellent point for Chelsea givin they had to play more than half the game with 10 men and hardly an end of the world result for us with a brand new CB pairing playing together for the first time. 2pts dropped or 1pt gained? A bit of both at the end of the day.

We were not at the races today and it could be down to three tough fixtures in a week.
Although the red card was the correct decision, the referee affected the game with flurry of early yellow cards and the chelsea players rolling around at every touch didn’t help.
We were tentative in all aspects of the game today but 7 points in three games is a good return.

It could have been a different result 11 vs 11 so happy with the point.
Having played Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Man U away and city and spurs at home, being top by 5 points is a good position to be in. So look forward to the rest of the season!

IF we said at the beginning of the week we will beat Spurs and Bayern at home and draw away to Chelsea I would have took that.

Good post Bill, we are being a little spoilt lately mate and anything but a win feels a little disappointing no matter who we are playing or whoever we have missing. The days we went to Chelsea City Liverpool United and celebrated getting a point like we'd won a cup seem a long time ago now 😀, definitely becoming a little spoilt 😀😀😀.

Hi Mark mate, obviously all points and games have to earned om the pitch but I think we are currently favourites to win every game we play in.

I don't mean that to sound arrogant but I just think we are currently better than any other team in England and quite possibly Europe too. Time as always will tell but I think 3pts today is very achievable mate. 👍.

Morning ladies and gents, still buzzing here. What a win last night, truly special. I know we haven't won the league or CL yet, but still, let's take a moment to appreciate what Mikel and the Kroenkes have engineered here over the past few years:
Commitment to the shirt. One of the most formidable defences in memory. A youth team and pathway to the first team the envy of most clubs in the world. A culture of togetherness. And often (quite often recently in fact) some brilliant football.

Turning a club around after years of declining standards and performances is hard, thankless work. I remember a few years ago, when we finished 8th for the second season running, seeing comments saying we need to sack Arteta and go out and get Hassenhuttl, or Rodgers, or whoever. By the same token, those complaining really need to remember where we were just half a decade ago. These things take time and now we're seeing what that patience has brought us. COYG!

We have been very fortunate. I would fall into the category of wanting ownership chnage rather than a manger change. At the time we were a mess. on the pitch and off the pitch.

Well done Arteta and the team, quickly changed the entire club. Well done to the owners (who I have been against) for sticking to the plan and giving Arteta time.

People need to be patient the losing the odd game or a season is not the end of the world. The club was here before I arrived and will be here for a long time after I leave.

There are no medals or places on the open top buses for us fans G4 mate, it's only how much pleasure we get from watching our team play and how eagerly we await the next game that is our reward.

I absolutely loved our performances against City Liverpool and of course Real Madrid last season and I absolutely loved our performances this week against Spurs and Bayern Munich plus i'm very excited about our upcoming game against Chelsea this weekend 👍. I am never fearful of watching us play anyone home or away these days and this season above any season i can ever remember even injuries to our best players doesn't cause me to worry about having to play without them. Full credit to the club and the manager for they have put in place for us to enjoy.

Great game… great result. thought the first half was fairly even… second half…WOW… made the mighty Bayern look very average. score line could have been a few more. on to the next one… one game at a time… by the way I mentioned on here a good few weeks ago that once we have a fully fit squad at our disposal, we will be dishing out a few hidings.

Rice is absolutely top quality Ed025 mate and he showed that yet again tonight, absolute class on grass.

We are so lucky to have some outstanding players in our squad and we equally lucky to have absolutely no passengers, each and every player in our current squad is a very capable premier league player who gives everything they have to give for the shirt. We really should enjoy this time in our history, it won't last forever ❤️❤️❤️.

Fair comment Ed025 mate, he's been a little short on game time so possibly not 100% up to his best but last season when we really needed heroes he stood up and counted. In my opinion our squad strength is the most exciting thing for gooners and equally the most scary thing for our opponents fans to worry about.

I think you are right Ed025. We are on the brink of something very special which will last for many seasons to come.

{Ed025's Note - dont get complacent though G4E, a loss to Chelsea would see them only 3 points behind (not that i think you will), there is a hell of a long way to go yet mate in all comps and even though its going swimmingly at the moment an injury to the likes of Rice or Saliba (god forbid) would be a massive blow, but i dont want to be the prophet of doom and if you won the lot there would be nobody happier than me..

Hi Ed025 i absolutely agree we shouldn't start counting any chickens or trophies before they hatch but injuries to individuals no matter how good those individuals are concern me much less.

We've played and won without Saka Saliba and Gabriel this season already and I have no fears we'd do the same without Rice if we had to. We have a very healthy crop of eggs in all baskets right now and although we know that can thinga can very quickly change in football omplacency from our player's or our manager would shock me more than anything else given they have 3 seasons of feet on the ground lived experience failing to cross the line to fall back on.

{Ed025's Note - i think you would cope better than the rest G62 because of your superior squad depth mate, but Rice for me is one of the best in the world and would be a massive loss so fingers crossed he stays fit..

Hi Ed025, i think we have more than our fair share of 9/10 top players but we equally we have a great selection of 7 to 8/10 players who can and do perform a very good job for us. Our starting 11 are is very impressive these days but I'd say our bench is our stand out feature, and hopefully that bench and bench in waiting will soon contain Ode, Havtz, Jesus, Goykeres and who did i miss 🤔🤔 .

Bugger we are sooo fortunate to be so spoilt at this moment in time.
