You could just as easily argue that Liverpool have overpaid for some players. They have spent a quite incredible sum this year.

We paid £30 million for Odegaard and in BL’s title winning season, Wirtz only scored a couple more goals and assists than Odegaard, who was ahead of him on pretty much every other stat that season.

Absolutely. I think that attitude is what got MU into the mess they're in now -- chasing something shiny instead of sticking to a plan.

Highbury, if you mean the speed at which pool have completed buys, I get that. They definitely haven't done better business than we have though. On paper at least we're looking really good. I'm not even fussed if we don't bring in a left wing this term, but it would complete the set up if we did.
Zuba looked good yesterday. Nwaneri was fire. Still unsure about Merino but according to 14, I have to give him another 2 seasons. Dowman definitely looks like he has what it takes to be given minutes this season.

I was referring to the speed at which Liverpool have done the deals. If they thought the price was right what they paid is their problem. It was more tongue in cheek comment, I have already said few days a go that We have done well on completed transfers and what we are hearing about potential signings. Ekitike to Liverpool surfaced a week ago go and yesterday BBC announced he had signed for them.
