Omg hope Romano is wrong. Reporting Partey has been charged with rape!

Confirmed by CPS. I would like to know how much the club was aware of and how much they protected Partey if so.

Nothing new Sally, this case has been hanging over his head for several years now and has made support rather difficult. Would certainly explain the timing of our letting him go.
04 Jul 2025 15:54:52
It is in the main media now Sally, that may have been one of the reasons for not extending his contract.
04 Jul 2025 16:04:31
Been charged with 5 counts of rape apparently Sally. If he is guilty hope he goes away for a long long time Sally.
04 Jul 2025 16:20:12
If guilty, absolutely throw the key away.
Unfortunately (and I could be wrong) it may be all to do with money as opposed to morals and the right thing to do. City banished Mendy as soon as he was investigated, he won his case and city had to pay him out despite not playing. Maybe arsenal saw this and thought until charged we'll get our money's worth as could be innocent.
There's an extremely good chance i'm wrong, its just that football nowadays is all about money as opposed to the correct thing to do.

thought it was odd why his departure was not mentioned on Arsenal website new list his name now removed from team list. This would explain why contract was not offered with this hanging over his head. I do hope its false accusations mind as always thought of him in good character really.

Mindful that he hasn't been found guilty yet and if I remember a footballer from Borth London (Partey was talked about) was arrested a couple of seasons ago. Since then . nothing.
04 Jul 2025 21:05:35
Let's be honest they surely wouldn't be charging without some good evidence. And like mendy he may be found not guilty based on a lack of evidence or what not. Very different to innocent
That being said I feel the club owe everyone an explanation of why they've been playing and paying him. Because if he's guilty I'm not okay with a club that should be showing more class than this.
05 Jul 2025 11:44:50
If I remember no name was mentioned after the initial arrest. Only public discussions on who it might be (I assume because a specific area of North London was confirmed) . Does anyone think Partey told Arsenal it was him?
05 Jul 2025 14:23:12
Guys, just because something isn't headline news doesn't mean its a secret. I knew all about this for the last three years, as did half the liverpool page, so I'd presume most of the footballing world knew.
Terminating contracts of uncharged and potentially innocent players is difficult. We did consider selling him every year, and we did choose not to renew his deal.
05 Jul 2025 14:29:51
They must've known. He was arrested 7 times and questioned. They would've surely.
05 Jul 2025 14:38:22
The club were aware right from the start he was arrested and bailed multiple times.
It was only the British media that couldn't name him for legal reasons, but he was named in foreign media articles throughout.
There's a damning article on the clubs handling of it from last year in the Tribune titled: Professional soccer continues to prioritize commercial interests over safety and ethics.

BUt how do you fire someone who hasn't been found guilty yet?
