Licking my lips at the possibilities of our starting 11

Defence: Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, Myles Lewis-Skelly

Midfield: Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze

Attack: Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres, Rogrygo

Yes it's gossip and yes some names will change but to me we get the midfield we've needed and the shift towards an exciting attack looks like we will be attacking king fast and strong goal threats across the board and in tight difficult games.

That's a change in mentality and tactics for me, a team that looks like it wants to win and be solid T the back.

Just need the C next to Rice and i'm over the moon.

Think of what that bench and cover that looks like. It's huge. I'm sure it will make Ode and Martinelli more effective as Martinelli is a caged beast. This could unlock him as he's gone backwards. Excited and hoping we see that change. I know it's paper talk but it shows what changes could lead to.

COYG - be brave and get it done

Happy Thursday everyone and if it happens - 3 more years!

I'm excited too Sy. Personally I think there's a few options with the full backs - personally i'd start Ben at RB and rotate Timber between LB and RB, and MLS rotating between LB and midfield - presuming that's MLS best position and the plan for him moving forward - especiallyas we would then have Kiwior and Calafiori covering CB but can also do LB.

I'm also hoping that we're able to try some formation variations. With Declan, MLS, Zubimendi isn't that set up for a double pivot for a 4-2-3-1 allowing us to the play Ode as a proper 10, plus Nwaneri (& poss Eze if we get him) . And means we can play Kai in a role that might be perfect for him?

Yep - the bench

It is exciting Jim - Ben could be a good option but Timber was solid. Good problem to have.

Interested to see where MLS plays - hot head that needs to chill ( slow learner there) but huge talent.

Best thing is pushing Ode further forward but I have concerns as he was dog awful last year. Sideways. Poor decisions, holding the ball too long and running down blind alleys. I’m not his biggest fan - poor man’s Ozil as doesn’t impact big tight games and not effective enough in front of goal. I’ve not turned on him after one season - reason Madrid let him go. Hoping a better attack and options gets best out of him but if not Eze steps in.

Must drop in to neither captain or vice.
