Will just put this post here. I'm very surprised no one call out some of the behaviour on this page. You need to have a particular opinion to be "allowed" to post on the Arsenal page. Go against the "majority" then you get insulted for it with no good reason. Before anyone says that's not true, literally look at my last few posts. "Go post on AFTV" is basically saying "I don't want you posting here". Me saying, "I don't care about Arteta In or Arteta Out, Arsenal fans deserve better than profit in the summer and £0 spent in January" is now somehow taken as a bad thing. Dublin, I have no problem with you, Malaga, no problem with you, Ed14 no problem with you. Sparky you're obviously trying your best to get some sort of reaction yesterday and fair play because you're going to get what you want. Will be my last post on this site. Lastly RIP Ed002, forever a living legend.
{Ed014's Note - DG the posters on this page are just a small snapshot of thousands upon thousands of Arsenal fans so you can guess how many various opinions are out there.
I like to think that the vast majority of our little snapshot are sensible level headed ladies and gents.
I’d guarantee that everyone wants us to win trophies, but none of us have any control over that, we just support the team.
We played some fabulous football over the two previous seasons but just needed that striker, still scored 80+ and 90+ goals in those two seasons.
In fact we scored one more goal than Newcastle this season and we didn’t have Isak.
This season has been a massive let down, we know failing to buy a striker one of them, we’ve no idea who made that decision but think we can all say it was a bloody stupid decision.
This team is quite capable of winning the big trophies, get back to the football of previous seasons, get the striker and DM, anything else a bonus.
Don’t let yourself get drowned in unnecessary negativity when there are so many positives.
Any opinion is allowed DG. Sometimes you do come across as a little antagonistic though.
Also and finally I didn’t see Sparky as being insulting about his AFTV comment but you rather started it calling him a donut.

I resent being referred to as sensible or level headed. You take that back right now!
28 May 2025 12:13:36
Oh come on dags anyone on here that knows me knows I'm a total wind up merchant
I just like taking the pisz you should give it back
I'm off to Dublin now to drop off a student I'm going to start my Guinness tour now
Updates on the black stuff starts now. I think I'll start a podcast.

Was this before or after you called me Mrs Kroenke for disagreeing with you Dags
Hypocrite much.
28 May 2025 12:19:01
Ed you are so right about failing to sign a forward in jan whoever made that decision let us all down!
{Ed014's Note - they sure did mate and the team too!
28 May 2025 13:41:14
So you’re basically saying if we don’t agree with you you’re leaving?
28 May 2025 21:23:56
A very strong argument DG but it just shows there’s certain people that come on this site just to say the same old thing over and over again. Either these people in my opinion are just wind up merchants who only post to get a reaction or they have got their heads buried in the ground that they just don’t see where we have come from and what is happening with other clubs that hire and fire as and when they don’t get what they get. This is the real world and not a game console where you hire you want and fire them when you want.
Clubs that want a long stable future have to invest time and money and not something that happens overnight. As ed02 would say RTFPs that have been previously posted and you will see patterns emerging. I for one come o. This site as it offers a variety of genuine opinions but when the same old tripe gets thrown down posted and anyone disagreeing with them gets accused of giving them a bashing it bringing up the integrity of the site.
The Eds have worked very hard to provide us with this platform. Some of the posters come that have been posting since day zero to keep this active and to hear people like you trying trying to emotionally blackmail people to believing that you are some sort of victim is a joke. Begone posters like you come and go long live the site long live the Ed’s and regular posters. Looking forward to another cracking season next year. COYG.

Personally I don't have an issue with Dags but to come on here playing the victim card after he started with the silly name calling is a bit rich.
We all want what's best for the club but also have to live in the real world.
28 May 2025 22:48:28
Just chill out dags, don't take everything so personally, you post confrontational posts every day and then get mad when people argue with you.
29 May 2025 06:50:52
Chin up Dags - different opinions are good. Think positivity goes down better even if that’s on repeat repeat and sometimes too positive as we’ve won nothing. But some are rightly pointing out we’ve improved. The excuses are annoying as only losers make excuses and the boss still thinks not winning is ok and we should be in Euro final. Truth is we’ve improved and by a long way but it’s the next step that’s key as improvement doesn’t mean a lot if no reward - explayers, spurs, Newcastle, palace and Chelsea got one. We were the challenger but when the champs fell and had a disaster season ( 3 points less than us I think ) we managed to still lose to someone else ?.
29 May 2025 13:58:20
Very wise words there Eden ????.
29 May 2025 14:02:42
DG - yes there is pressure to constantly post positive stuff and lap up whatever Emperor Arteta does. Kai’s crap but then he’s good cos we bought him. We need a striker - no we don’t, save our money til the summer as Arteta knows best. Isn’t it great the team is trying and we should be grateful for everything we get. People can constantly post the same positive stuff to paper over the obvious.
Unfortunately I took it too far and posted too much repetitive the other way as I was fed up with the constant positive stuff when issues were clear.
The right place is somewhere in the middle and opposite views will generate friction. I fell out with Ed but if you read his comments above / below - he sees the weaknesses (some of them anyway ) and shares more opinion with me than we may both state. I don’t phrase my points well which is frustrating.
People enjoy the improvement more than winning but we all want the same thing but like Brexit we have differing opinions on solution / issues. For most fans seeing positive posts are easier to read - they just annoyed me. The riddles and poking of opposite views made me post more.
I generally know who posts before I get to the name based on the content. At least you have an opinion. At least you want us to win and act like a big club. At least you see the Emperor is lacking clothes. Keep posting. Hopefully Arteta learns, the board learns and everyone improves along with the squad / starting 11 so we win something. For our sake and to keep the top players.
Keep posting and be yourself. ?.

G4E - don’t mix your words. I’ve been posting for years. You referencing me again? It’s normally SW that has a pop and yes I post strong repetitive opinions, but not to wind up but to debate / banter differing opinions. I get we’ve improved but don’t get this trust the process bollox £600m later.
I’d argue we’ve not come far enough and losers make excuses. Winners don’t.
29 May 2025 15:39:03
I keep reading those people who choose to let disappointment go quickly rather than chosing to dwell on it making themselves absolutely miserable in the process described as losers for some bizarre reason ?
While those who call others losers declare themselves to be winners because they aren't prepared to let anything go but are absolutely determined to hold onto their own misery and unhappiness until all their demands are met in full and then some.
is that really what being a winner is?
29 May 2025 17:44:08
62- is moaning about ref decisions, red cards, injuries, bad luck or squad depth excuses? If we won. Would they be issues? Arteta staying a season shouldn’t be measured by trophies - does someone with a trophy say that? I wasn’t calling you a loser but winners don’t make excuses - they overcome them.
What were your excuses in the invincible year?
It doesn’t make me miserable - it drives me to be better. It’s tough mentally - yes. I miss a bit of enjoyment as the minute I win. I want to get better as second place will be getting better unless they are always happy being 2nd.
29 May 2025 17:47:11
I am sorry if you or anyone thought I was calling them a loser. I certainly wasn’t or didn’t mean to if it read that way.
29 May 2025 18:59:27
But SY i haven't moaned about ref's decisions or red cards given apart from the Skelly red card that was quite rightly overturned.
Mate you say it doesn't make you miserable it drives you to be better but in reality unless Arteta is sacked and you appointed in his place how are you going to put all that drive and winning mentality into practice?
Sharing thoughts and opinions is great even if we don't always agree but at what point does sharing the very same thoughts opinions and feelings on an extremely repetitive basis become an obsession that serves absolutely no good purpose for anyone anywhere but simply makes you feel heard by people who don't have the power to give you what you want even if they wanted to.
29 May 2025 19:49:36
Have you read my posts above - they are a bit of self reflection.
Why praise him? - he can’t hear you.
Why be so grateful for improvement but not even dare to dream of winning.
Why post anything ever - it’s “pub talk” which is sometimes a bit extreme / repetitive and I said sorry.
29 May 2025 21:04:33
I'm not asking you be sorry for anything mate, just to appreciate that I'm happy with Arteta and have enjoyed each of the last 3 seasons including last season as much as I genuinly appreciate and totally get you are not happy with Arteta haven't enjoyed the last 3 seasons and especially didn't like last season in any way shape or form.
Can't we just between now and let's say July 1st let last season go and put all things Arteta on ice just for a few weeks and look forward to what might happen rather than what absolutely must happen in our eyes.
Let's have a month of non confrontational Arteta in or out and come July 1st all see how feel after that break? In the words of John Lennon " all I'm saying is let's give peace a chance " ???.
29 May 2025 21:35:49
Guilty conscience there Sy. I’m not mixing my words. I have said exactly what I thought and what I see see on this site. Maybe I’m getting old and I can’t be bothered to read the same old comments that are made with no factual information £600 mil you say over 8 years considering the value of players have shot up in the last few years. Also if you look at how much we have spent in the last 20 years compared to other clubs you will get a much more accurate picture. Sometimes your eyes will only let you see what you want to see. There’s more to life cheer up and enjoy the ride.
29 May 2025 22:03:25
Yes 62 - I was engaging with Dags and theme of his post. I’m focused on signings and changes rather than moaning
?.
29 May 2025 22:04:36
I also thought 2 of the above didn’t get posted so annoyed I double posted on same topic.
Enjoy your weekend.
29 May 2025 22:53:50
Just responding G4E - I’m posting as
“Either these people in my opinion are just wind up merchants who only post to get a reaction “. Nope
“They have got their heads buried in the ground that they just don’t see where we have come from and what is happening with other clubs” Nope
I know where we’ve come from, appreciate the improvement BUT like many many people question if he’s got the horsepower to win the league. I’m talking about our well run club. I’d risk coming 3rd or 4th on a good experienced manager with the experience to win the league.
Didn’t we do that when we brought the very inexperienced Arteta because Emery wasn’t getting it done and again many on here were sticking up for him due to a boring fruitless undefeated run. Change is a risk but has its rewards.
We aren’t winning so not a huge risk. More upside than downside and we still have a decent squad, youth team and eye for talent.
We have given him time and money - we aren’t changing every year. But we need standards. One more year max.
