The manager is not good enough. Don't even know why this is a debate. We haven't won a trophy again. Our so-called big 6 rivals are all in with a chance of winning a trophy this season - which includes those who have been in the job for 1 and 2 years. It's arsenal football club, not Arteta football club.

Get a grip. Chelsea, Spurs and Manu all have the chance to win trophies we’re too good to compete in.

Hi HG, plus this criticism wouldn't have been valid two days ago. I guess it just shows everything comes to those who wait and then seize their opportunity before it disappears.

To each their own.

HG, trophies you are too good to win? Have a word with yourself and stop embarrassing your club, fellow fans. Delusional.

RD, think he means because we qualified for the Champions league not that the other cups are below us.

10 May 2025 01:37:50
That's fair them Sparky. But either one of Spurs or Utd would get a European Cup this season and would qualify for the CL next season. So all in all, they would still have had a more "successful" season in that regard.

I'm with Dags here actually. I think you have a team that's on the cusp of winning great things but the manager is the one holding you all back. Arteta did do well to get you all to this point but maybe an upgrade should be looked at as he seems unable to take that final step up from merely competing for titles to actually winning them.

I genuinely cannot believe it is a debate. Everythig arsenal fans laugh at Tottenham for we have become and they don’t even see it. I’ll forever stay loyal to the club and a manager not able to take us over the line is not what is best for us.

10 May 2025 09:14:38
And I cannot believe so many fans are so convinced that simply changing managers will definitely make all their dreams come true.

Spurs and Man United sit just above the relegation zone and have had absolutely awful seasons, are we really expected to accept they have had better seasons than us just because they might possibly pick up a trophies in competitions that neither we or they themselves ever really wanted to qualify for in the first place?

If it really is all about winning silverware and nothing else then would all teams not aim for 7th place and a ticket into Europe's most winnable trophy or aim to be relegated to league one or league two and win the Johnsons paint trophy each season?

Clearly winning the lesser trophies is no compensation for competing for top trophies because if it was every club would be in a race to bottom rather than a race to the top, and this very obviously is not how things work in the real world

Have Peterborough out achieved Arsenal this season and last with their two trophy winning seasons? What about the winners of the FA trophy and FA vase? Are you really saying they have done better Arsenal?

10 May 2025 12:41:27
No 62 they haven't had better seasons than us it is a ridiculous. argument to make. At the end of the day they are in a competition we were too good to be in. On the other hand if man city win the fa cup and get champions league they will have had a better season than us.

10 May 2025 13:40:10
Yes they would of had a better season than us. We failed in the league, champions league, Fa Cup and Carabao Cup. They failed in the league, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and succeeded in the Europa League. Arsenal fans try to change the narrative to make it suit them. They would of had a “more successful season than us” given they achieved their goal.

10 May 2025 14:04:45
RD- yes, we're too good to be in the European Johnstone Paint Trophy. If you win it you’ve had a more successful season than us but definitely not a better one……
And good luck winning it, should paper over cracks that are the huge mess your club is in.
