While it's understandable to prioritise Wednesday game it's so disappointing to see our league campaign end with a damp squib. We should not forgive the board and owners for the mess they made of the January window!

I think I mentioned it in the game chat but if we’d beaten Everton and Brentford we’d be 6 points behind Liverpool (they’d have a game in hand) and we’re still play them. I can also see them dropping more points.
We should be playing to win every game until it’s impossible to win the league.

Agree O’Leary and also releasing all the attacking options to replace with defenders / fullbacks. Not sure all that is the board as they’ve thrown millions at transfers. Money not well prioritised in my opinion and players purchased that didn’t solve issues staring us in the face. Injuries would have had a lessened impact if we had a better balanced squad. We also ran certain players into the ground with no cover which is negligent.

I don't forgive the board or the owners because I've absolutely nothing to forgive them for. I'm actually really grateful to them for making 3 consecutive top 2 finishes plus a 2nd consecutive champions league quarter final and potential simi final possible for us enjoy.
8 consecutive years of top 4 and champions league last 16 ambitions seem a long while ago now but that's only because these owners with this board and this manager and these players have and continue to have much higher expectations and ambitions. I see soooo much more for us to be happy about and grateful for than I can possibly seee we have reason to feel let down and resentful for. But to each their own of course ?.

Only if you have no problem with regular humiliations against premier league top 6 rivals and champions league last 16 opposition.
