Hi Glen for me at 12pm yesterday the smart money said the title race was over but the champions league trophy was still available
, so Arteta played it right. I'm my opinion despite Liverpools loss today even If we'd won yesterday the title would still be long gone so Arteta still called it right.
With the injury issues we have surely we have to prioritise Tuesdays game which we start all square v Real over a virtual lost cause v Liverpool. All things considered I would be very happy not go backwards this season.

I agree the title has probably gone but would love us to push Liverpool a bit.
Clutching at straws a bit but if we’d won yesterday there would be a 9 point difference and Liverpool aren’t playing well at the moment plus Salah seems out of form…. Also we’ve still got to play them!
Anyway I get why the Real game was prioritised, just wish we could challenge on all fronts.

Hi Glen, I think we all want that mate but for a variety of reasons this season just hasn't quite gone to plan. Hence for me it's important if we can't improve on last season it's important we don't go backwards.
2nd place and another Champions league last 8 would equal last season and still be far better than we've used to experiencing in our recent history.
Hopefully a champions league semi final might yet make this season better than last season and from there who knows? But obviously Real are as big an obstacle to get over as it's possible to face but we've got a punchers chance.
