Baffled with Arteta, persisting with Merino, all because he scored 2 against Leicester WOW!
Just so naive thinking he will repeat against W Ham and then Forest .
Sterling is available, yes he hasn't set the world alight but he has more of a clue about playing up top.
Just as well Raya didn't score against West Ham LOL.

I have seen this movie hundreds of times but remember next year will be our year, again!

Hi Banbury, can you imagine the fall out if Arteta had played Sterling rather than Merino v West ham after Merino's two goals against Leicester we lost 0 1 with Sterling
Once the knives are out for a manager there is little they can do right in the eye's the fans who have decided they want them replaced and everything that goes wrong will always be the managers fault and anything that goes right will always be despite the managers incompetence.
And the really nice thing about people saying what the manager should have done instead of what they did dois their opinions will never ever be put to the test of reality so no one can ever hold their opinions to account.

Funnily, if Sterling had started I would be baffled with Arteta.
Like a few others, I was surprised we didn't send out a youth striker, but I have never watched them and Arteta has.

Why were they on the bench then
To make up the numbers.

Being eased into the first team in case he wants to try them in the next game?
Maybe he wanted to wait until everyone accepted that its over in case one of them misses an open goal and gets death threats on twitter?
I don't know!

Hi Bill I think we'd all love for a young striker to come in and make the same impact as Nwaneri and Skelly have done and I very much doubt anyone would love it more than Arteta, but as SW says Arteta obviously doesn't believe they are either ready and premier league capable yet no matter how much he he wishes they were
Why were they on the bench? Maybe If we'd been 3 O up with 10 minutes to go Arteta would have liked to give them a run out at top level or maybe we are so short of players who else would or could he put on the bench. I don't think Arteta has suddenly lost any ability he had and I certainly don't think it's possible for any manager who has absolutely no ability to finish top 2 for two years running and despite our depleted numbers currently be second east in the country once again
I personally think cool heads are called for even though we're all disappointed to be limping our way through to the end of the season apposed to running at top speed towards the finishing line ahead of Liverpool.
