Mal, I’m proud to be a Gooner but the players and managerS have not always made me proud. There’s a difference. There’s been times when the manager has let us down ( GG bungs ) , players let us down and the team by their performance but I’m still proud to be a Gooner. There’s a difference.
We are up against it today. They need to show us they are proud to pull the shirt on. The manager needs to remember he’s at a big club with ambition and the board needs to remember the expectations of trophies as they let Wenger down by not pushing / questioning him…
Henry was spot on : “You need big shoulders to play for Arsenal. The cannon is heavy. ”
If they don’t have big shoulders - replace them. Today is the opportunity to show we are a big club, care about the fans and are a big club. Get after City and don’t defend for 98 minutes.
I’m always proud of being a Gooner but sometimes they do let me down& nothing wrong stating that.

Hi Mark whatever happens today or for the rest of the season, if we finish top 2 for the 3rd consecutive season and once again make it to the champions league last 8 or further I will be of the opinion that over the last 20 years, we've never had it so good.
For me I plan to enjoy moment of our time competing at the top level once again for as long as it continues, because sooner or later like every club in England be them Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United Chelsea, Everton, Leeds, Forest, Derby, Newcastle, Blackpool, Preston or anyone else who has ever tasted life at the top level we will once again slip out of competing at the top level for a period of who knows how long. Neither highs or slumps last forever so in my opinion it's a good idea to make hay while the sunshines ?.
