Morning lads n sally
Must win game today
I'm going for 0-2.
10 Nov 2024 11:23:53
Absolutely Mark, season defining game today mate.
IF we win we will have closed the gap on City from the imaginary 8 points claimed by some at 2.30 last Saturday to the reality of just 2pts this afternoon, not a bad achievement by playing just one game.
Should we lose today then there will be no recovering the situation either in the league or for Mikel and his players from many fans point of view. All hopes of positivity and success for the rest of the season rest on today's result mate.

Good morning Mal and John.

Ho Bill mate, i don't care how we win as long as we win, because the consequences of anything else are not going to be very enjoyable.

Let's all be Newcastle fans today!
10 Nov 2024 13:54:42
Better still Sally let's all be Man United fans for 24 hours, then we might actually appreciate what a fantastic past two seasons our current players are manager have given us and how lucky we really are.
No one likes to go through a bad spell but overall things haven't been as good as they are at Arsenal for a very long time.

Van Nistleroy seems to be getting the best out of them 62!
10 Nov 2024 17:23:58
Liverpool are top not city and as it stands 9 points is the difference unless it’s a loss then it’ll be 10 or if we win 7 so the imaginary points is in fact true unless members only want to catch city lol.

The false claim of an 8 point gap was made about City, no mention of Liverpool within the hugely exaggerated negative claims made last Saturday afternoon. If there had been a mention of Liverpool within those false claims I would certainly have included Liverpool in my post, but much like the imaginary 8 point that never actually existed in the real world neither was there any mention of Liverpool.

62 - we are 9 points behind the leaders. If I said City - sorry but we are way way way of the pace in terms of performance, mentality, squad and most importantly points.
We aren’t putting in the performances to suggest we are unlucky.
Defence, midfield and attack are currently poor, slow, lack energy and predictable
We all knew we needed a striker - why sign Kai
We knew we needed a decent winger and Granit replacement along with better fullbacks IF we want to WIN the league. I’m not saying they are decent or crap but they are not at the top end .
This season was always going to be tough but the boss didn’t strengthen enough . Starting 11 or bench.
If you take Saka and Saliba for example - are our strikers / wingers of an equivalent standard? How about our fullbacks?

Pedantic much, 62?

Hi Sy at the time of your commitment last Saturday City were top 5 points ahead of us with a game in hand. Obviously like most people you were not expecting City to lose to Bournemouth and for Liverpool to consequently over take them.
I get people were disappointed to lose to Newcastle as they were Bournemouth and Brighton but we have had some serious issues with injuries and silly suspensions. I also get that people are disappointed we didn't buy proven striker last January or last summer I can't explain why but what I can say is last season we took the title to the final game of the season and finished second to City for the second season running meaning we have just had our best two seasons since 2004
Personally I think all the negativity and pulling the players and manger to bits after our below our new hugely improved high standards start to the season is totally over the top and I personally feel a team that has been giving us everything for more than two years now deserves and has earned the right to a bit of support during a rough patch. I get everyone is entitled to think and say whatever they want but we are suppose be Arsenal supporters Arsenal criticis who rip our players to bits at the first hint of trouble. If we'd been in steady decline for the last two years I'd be in the negative camp too but that's not the case, in fact since 2004 its never been further from being the case mate.

But after all that typing 62 the fact remains we ARE 9 points behind no matter what quote or fairly tale you type! doesn’t matter who was top or who was bottom it’s 9 points it’s there in black and white, I’m hopeing we get that gap back but it’ll be tuff.
11 Nov 2024 07:24:08
Spot on sharpe.
11 Nov 2024 08:47:59
But at the end of the day it’s Liverpool that need catching not city and there is a 9 point gap city wernt even top last Saturday pmsl, and it wasn’t a false claim it what could have happened if results went againts us which they didn’t so it didn’t happen, but the FACT remains there is a gap and it’s nothing imaginary about it even if it’s not city it’s there in black and white, I’ll save you the time of a little quote about what could have been and if this if that sort of thing, doesn’t matter if you didn’t mention Liverpool they are the front runners that need to be caught not city!
11 Nov 2024 08:49:26
In the real world Liverpool are top by 9!real points pmsl, never likes to be wrong this one hahaha.

Hi 62 - hope you are well and still enjoying your job.
You are right - 2nd two years in a row and we need to make big tough decisions to push on and win.
If we had done that we could have been champions and I hold the manager account to the pathetic run in two years ago and not signing enough quality last year or being brave enough. Still did a good job but 2nd twice - we want to win as that’s what sports about and im still a supporter as I want the best for the club.
Hopefully we go on a winning run as we need it ??.
11 Nov 2024 10:39:14
Sy hopefully we win out next 6/ 7 games and Liverpool drop some points which can definitely happen then it’s back on hopefully this is our year COYG.
11 Nov 2024 17:18:26
Come on people I am sure we will bounce back after the break. Nice Team bonding session somewhere hot, and we will be back to where we belong. Its a long race and we are still in contention that is still a good place to be it could be worse and we could be manure united.
12 Nov 2024 21:14:54
Clearly hoping we go on a very long winning run as unbeaten run won’t cut it. We have had some tough away games so that’s a positive despite the poor results.
Anyways- I wanted to ensure you were good 62 and sorry if you got a bit of attention. Not my intention ?.
