Surely VAR would have known they would have had more grief for allowing the goal than disallowing it. The ball to everyone looked out I dint think anyone would have complained.
I can’t believe VAR will carry on in its current format for much longer. It’s clearly not working how they thought it would .
Just on the technology why can’t something be put in the post to line up with the corner flag to signal If the ball is out?

Mate imo forget if its out or not its a clear foul on Gabi, he was pushed and it was a hand ball.

Yes but technology would take that one away from the officials a bit like the goal line technology which is never questioned.
{Ed014's Note - you could see from the very first image when the camera panned out realising the ball was running along the goal line, that when he got to it, it was clearly out of play.
They never showed that image again. ?♂️

It's very similar to the Utd one that was disallowed, you could see grass between the ball and the line. But it was argued because of how balls work some of it would have still been in, if viewed from above. But there was no clear image showing that so like ox says if the only image you have looks out, it's less grief to say it's out. Especially for consistency, once one is called out, the other should be called out. But instead one is in and the other is out ?.

How was the game worse before VAR than it is with VAR.
All its achieved is to give fans an extra body to be angry with. What a complete waste of time, literally all it does is waste time.
